Jim, just take a D-tour going to Osoyoos! A pit stop in Alberta! And I promise we Albertans will take care of your wine....

Perhaps, but some people find a way to get tangled up when negotiating vines.

Let's be clear on one thing, it is a 2 bottle limit per person, correct. Thus 2 people=4 bottles allowed, correct? I only have to "store" 8 bottles.

Each adult person can bring 2 - 750 ml bottles of wine (Total of 1.5 ltrs) into Canada duty free
So the two adults in your party can import a total of 4 - 750 ml bottles duty free
To be honest , how much duty you pay and how strictly the law is enforced varies with the province . When entering Canada slightly over our alcohol / food limit , Manitoba and Alberta just let us go through and we did not pay any duty
Ontario was different they examined and counted the amount of alcohol , tobacco and food we had and charged us as much duty as the law allowed. One of the main reasons we quit fishing Ontario was the high duty , and the strict limits on fishing and camping for non residents,
We guit going to Ontario because they made it obvious that we were persona non grata .

Just spoke with Pat, owner of Frontier Foods in Oroville, he will store my wine for -0-, gratis. So I will be sure and stop there coming and going to Osoyoos. Frontier Foods, 1204 Main St, Oroville, Wa.
