Davy Crockett Birthplace Park (moved thread)

Hi Bruce,
I think I sent you a PM not long ago, I live in Alpharetta GA and just purchased a 2014 21' Escape so now yours has a twin closer too you, not very many of us in this neck of the woods. I'm going to a rally at Davy Crockett Birthplace Park Oct 18th and understand there will be several others there. I like learning from others, many of the changes I made to our Casita came from that.

Al the best,

Steve

Here is some info, but I think they are tight on sites. Might be worth a call though.

I think that's the one called "King of the Wild Frontier Rally" in Limestone, Tennessee Oct. 17-21.

Hello,
Yes that's it, I check almost every day and all sites are booked except tent only, I was lucky I got a site after a cancellation. I would think around now would be the time people would no for sure if they are going are not so maybe you keep checking.
As far as how I find out about it, look in the rally section on this site and the fiberglass rv forum site and you will see info on many.
Going to a rally was one of the 1st trips we took when we bought our Casita, really learned a lot from others about our little home on wheels, I know there are less Escape owners but believe this is the best way to meet them and learn more about are new larger home on wheels. We can't wait until we can spend more nights in it.

All the best and safe travels,

Steve

About an hour ago or so there was a posting that someone cancelled for the Davy Crockett.
Check it Out. Maybe you’ll get a Bingo

Thanks to all for info. We only live 45 minutes from the park, so, we drove over to check out the sites. They were all booked as we expected.
Upon arriving home we saw Dave's post , and, were able to secure site #40 arriving the 15 Oct and departing 18 Oct. We should be able to meet the early birds, and be able to stop back in to meet others Friday or Saturday. Looking forward to meeting Ya'll.
Thanks for the heads up Dave!! Happy for the partial Bingo !

Hi,
My wife and I would like to attend (not camp).
Is there a schedule available?
I'm not on face book.

There is an agenda on FGRV website, but you need to be a member to view.
I attached two screenshots that you should be able to see.

While there isn’t a trailer tour segment on the agenda, there will be some Escapes there and I’m sure you would be able to get a tour once they are set up and ready to camp. We will be there with a 21 Classic.

Here are snapshots of the roster that was posted on FGRV on 9/9. Gives you an idea of the number of attendees and their sites.

Looks to be almost the entire campground. I haven't had the privilege to meet him, but from what I gather on the forum you can be certain there is entertainment and cold beverages at site #18 where Iowa Dave will be residing.

Iowa Davy Crockett Dave is encamped this afternoon on a Tennessee Oddessy. Tobacco hanging in the barns, Turkey vultures wheeling overhead and a cold pumpkin ale in hand. Life is the way it was meant to be.
