I just got back from eight days camping near Driftwood TX for the Old Settlers Music Festival. Beautiful weather for camping right now down here - low 50's at night & upper 70's to low 80's during the day. Great music at the fest & around the various campfires at night too. Throw in good local craft beer & an abundance of wildflowers. Good times indeed!
I counted 8 Casitas (primarily 16/17 footers), 1 Scamp (13'), 2 Surfsides (could've possibly been Trilliums), 1 Hunter Compact (or it might've been a Trailswest Campster), 1 Base Camp (tiny). Lots of vintage canned hams & Argosy/Airstreams, 4 Tear Drops, & a whole host of tent trailers and big stickies combined with oodles of the primitive tent campers. Suffice it to say, I was the only Escape once again & had numerous lookie-loos coming by for a visits.
Where were all my new fellow TX Escapees? Now I know
... at the Bluebonnet rally which is also in the held in hill country. Excellent!
