Niagara Wine Escape 2015

I think that is a first at the Niagara rally for a Maine trailer. Alf will no doubt correct me if wrong, We are well spread geographically then from Maine to Manitoba.

Yes Dave and Rita, I had forgotten you were coming, what about the Mississippi one,are you attending there as well?

As far as the wineries go, it's on your own to do what you wish as far as visiting wineries. Now we used to live in St. Catharines in the heart of the Niagara wine region so I know some good places to go.

We'll be at the " it's a treat to beat your feet on the Mississippi mud" rally a la Bix Beiderbecke with a young Bing Crosby on the vocal, It's way less than a hundred miles from our home and we wouldn't miss it. Bix was from Davenport by the way. Hence the convoluted reference. Beer will do that to ya.

Wish we could make Niagara. We will be wrapping up our return home with the 21' around then. There will be about enough time for us to come in and go out again to the Mississippi River Rendezvous. That will be a big deal. First mid-country Escape rally.

If you have never been to Niagara Falls and Lake Ontario, this is where you can do both. Beautiful scenery, towns and people and lots of Escapes....we will be there also.

Niagara Wine Escape is a LOG (Loosely Organized Gathering) Some folks want to tour/taste at the winery's, some folks like to see the falls, and some just like to relax at the campground. I will have some detailed maps of the area and info books. In the mean time here's a link to whet your whistle!!! Hi: All... I'm having c'puter issues at present. Mother board died!!! Severe case of separation anxiety. Hope to save files and pic's, but this could take time. Have to resort to my wife's laptop...No walk on the beach!!! Alf

Hi: cpaharley2008... Thought I'd be helpful and do the laundry while MA's. at work. Found I can still sprint up stairs when the sump pump failed to start. Needed my boots to slosh thru to the plugs to drain the backwash!!! Alf

Alf; there's a reason they call it a mother board. Hope you are doing ok and getting your breakdown issues resolved. We are back home after just short of 6000 miles to BC & AB. Looking forward to Sept camping at Niagara and on the mighty Miss. Hope we can get out of Iowa by then without running over a presidential candidate. They are thicker than raccoons these days. And some without much more chance of becoming president.

Alf I think you're right about Mom being able to find lost things. At Osoyoos Jihad Jake got loose in the campground one night. We lured him back to the camper with a hotdog bun. After the crisis was over, Rita could not find her glasses. We looked all around, no glasses. I did find an American Quarter though. Then two days later she found them in the silverware drawer. Jake probably put them there, little rascal. Looking forward .to Niagara, I like the song, " I'm in the mood for Betty's" . As they used to say, "Have a safe and sane Fourth of July. Though probably not that big a deal in Canada.

Hi; rfs... Our BIG day is tomorrow. Canada was born July 1st. 1867. Until then we were just a colony of provinces. Canada East [Quebec] and Canada West [Ontario] New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
