Wine Escape Rally

Free tarp went well, including a very nice folding chaise lounge, a porta potty ( New) a 9X12 mat, a fishing pole, 10 pairs of reading glasses, some electronic gear, etc etc. etc.
David is a professional photographer with his own Escape and takes fine photographs. We are lucky for his attendance. On to the Mighty Mississippi River Rendezvous. Another free tarp and a torque wrench for the winner of the torque your nuts contest.

The weather looks great there. It snowed overnight again here in Calgary.

You guys are living at the wrong end of town, barely a dusting on NE facing rooftops the other day and nothing since down here .....

Calgary has had some level of snow every month of the year and not normal but also not unusual to have a snowfall in Sept. It does not stay and it is also not unusual to have a brown Christmas even after an early snowfall. What is most common is a good stretch of lovely weather in the fall, great for camping.

Hopefully this is the case as I race the clock on closing in our addition. Cribbing walls today. Jasper is supervising.

Doesn't look too good for next week, hopefully, good enough to pour and backfill; then much nicer for framing. Jasper needs to get after the slacker hanging over the cribbing ....... a ton of work

We should make it with pouring the walls late for Tuesday or Wednesday. Thursday looks the worse for rain right now, but these forecasters tend to always post the worse case scenarios. The week after looks much better. It would be nice to have Alf's Niagara weather though. And yes, Jasper really enjoys supervising, but he is not much of a tough motivational leader.

Yep, he lends definition to the saying "It's a dog's life".

Hi: All... Niagara Wine Escape 2018 is drawing to a close!!! A most sincere thank you to all who came and enjoyed. My apology to whom ever it was that came and went due to a shocking electrical situation. If I had known about it I could have done something about it. No one else IMHO experienced "Reverse polarity" but did have a great time!!! Alf

Another great Niagara Wine Escape thanks to Alf, Maryanne and all the participants! Alf, you and Maryanne do a great job of making all of us feel welcome and at home (home is where you park it). Looking forward to next year and about to search for more Escape Rallies. Thanks again Alf and Maryanne!

Dave

Dave,
I think you may have the record for the shortest distance driven to a rally, at least in the US......in Canada it must be Bruce, as BC Nomad lives in Osoyoos.

Sure, go ahead. Maybe she'll put it in the next calendar.

No, I wasn't thinking about the calendar at the time. I just thought the illuminated flags would make a nice photograph.
