Just survived remnants of Hurricane Gordon. It’s Monday morning and it’s finally just drizzling after absolutely pouring since 11 pm Friday night. Rain gauge says 3 1/2 inches. Holed up in Westbranch State Park in NE Ohio. Our camper “Terrapin” did great through the storm.
Did run into another 2015 19 owner from the Toledo area. She was actually one of the fine owners who let us tour her camper while we we doing our build sheet. Tried to talk her into going to Niagara but she had other commitments.
We will be arriving Niagara sometime Friday afternoon. Looking forward to seeing everyone from last year and new faces, a few adult beverages, the blue tarp, pot luck, bonfire and hearing some tall tales.
Wonder if we decided to come in on Wednesday if that would be an issue. Hmmm? I might have to look into that. See everyone soon.

Hi Ralph
Last year we “pushed through” and got to Riverside a day early before our reservation started. Someone was in “our site” for the night so we talked to Cecelia and stayed in a site a couple spots east of Alf. It was no problem. As soon as our site was open the next day we pulled over there and set up for the rally. We will be coming in on Wednesday this year and be in the same site as the last two years.
Loading up today. Details details details.

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Miriam here, from Our Escape Hatch. I am a fervent adept of knitting and crochet and was wondering if any of you wants to join me around a beer or a glass of wine to do just that. Knit and crochet. I’ll bring a few WIP with me. Our assigned site is number 26.

See you Thursday!!!

Miriam (Allen does NOT knit in public, lol)

I could use a lesson in knitting. All I know now is crack one sip two crack one sip two. Oh wait, that’s my drinking routine.. My grandma could crochet like no other. It looked like a loom was at work.

Iowa, you teach me your drinking routine while I try to keep up with my crochet routine... Might turn out into a "fine" project.

Hmm? I have always been fascinated by knitters and crocheters. I had an old aunt who was a nun and cranked out afghans for all the family members at an incredible pace while watching Lawrence Welk reruns. I may have to have an adult beverage or two and ask for a beginners lesson. Or just watch. I also have a camper friend whose wife brings a spinning wheel with her while traveling the country and they only have a tiny teardrop. Different strokes for different folks. See everyone this weekend.

Niagara Escarpment

We won't be able to make it to the Niagara rally but are.camping on the Niagara Escarpment in Door County, Wisconsin. Since it's the same geological formation and Door County is noted for its fruity wines (cherry and apple) we will have a toast in honor of your gathering. Cheers!

Too bad Randy you cannot make it to Niagara but from all I've heard Door County is a great spot to visit, hopefully one day we'll get there. We'll meet you at the Mississippi Rally though.

Door County is wonderful. We have camped there twice in the past several years. Looking forward to going back. Yes, the local wines are indeed tasty!

Hey David
Thanks for all the nice photos. Great rally with wonderful weather, 43 friendly fiberglass units from many states and provinces. Thanks to our host and hostess, Alf and Mary Anne Stacey.

Sounds like a great rally. Sorry I missed it this year; I'm baking in 101°F temperatures here in the southwest.
