Sewer Donut for Maryhill State Park
If anyone does not have a sewer donut when arriving at Maryhill SP May 16,17,18, 2014, I will bring some with me for $5.00 each.

I'll take one. I would probably forget to pick one up anyways.

Although I've never actually used one, it serves to block the venting of sewer gas like the screw in type (which I have used). The hookups at Maryhill are horizontal so the screw in type doesn't work.
I don't usually hook up at MH until I dump just before leaving, so I haven't needed one, but it would be a good thing to have in case it was required somewhere.

Because Maryhill State Park is in a flood plane, the sewer connections come out of the ground at a 90 degree angle rather than the typical horizontal to the ground connection. The pipe isn't threaded. Without a donut there's no way to connect without dribbling waste water. ICK. The site fees at Maryhill are a bit steep and I plan on using everything I'm paying for!

I've seen those "sewer doughnuts", and thought they were designed to fit ones' sewer connection into the park's fitting in case there was a size differential. Thanks, Donna

Chuck, I"ll take one also. On another note, the foot pads you sold me work just fine. Thanks!

It is a good idea to carry a donut. I have found a few parks (mostly private) that require them.

Special Maryhill sewer donut price to Escape owners cost $5.00. I will bring some extras.
