Stuff to Give away at the 2016 Rally
Swapping of the ‘Stuff’ – Saturday May 28, 10am – 2pm
This event was brought to the Rally last year by LeonW and was very well received. Leon can’t make it this year so Anne H & I will stand in to host it. We’ll post the site number at the registration table once we know what it is.
If you’re like me, you see something that looks cool, but after you buy it doesn’t make it into your camping kit. Now it is just gathering dust, but someone else may be able to use the item. The Swapping of the ‘Stuff’ is a way to get your stuff to that new owner and out of your garage.
For instance, I will be bringing a low mileage AeroPress coffee maker that has been retired and is looking for a new home.
How it works: - If you have Stuff to give away, feel free to drop it at our campsite TBD on the table.
- All your Stuff is to be given away rather than sold – sorry, but we can’t collect money for you.
- Please label the ‘Stuff’ with your name, site number and, if there is some special knowledge associated with your it, please post it on a card or label of some sort.
- Stuff you take does not come with any warranty, implied or otherwise.
- Please be sure to come by after 2pm to collect anything you brought that hasn’t found a new home.
See you in Osoyoos

Thanks Paul!
Fred was able to pick up some extended mirrors for our 2014 Ford F-150 that should work great for pulling the new 2017 21' Escape. I loved this rally!

A bunch of generous people, starting with Tammy and Reace and crew.
We now have hand crafted side curtains for the awning, thanks to Gabi and Wolf. Pic is of one of the pair.
Iowa Dave picked me up off the concrete after I tripped on the mat, driving my glasses into my forehead and bruising some ribs. Handed me a craft beer too, even though it was only 10 AM.
Just the real stuff.

Tough way to earn a good beer Glenn! Come for that visit and I'll hand them out without the drama! I hope that your ribs aren't bothering you too much - that can be really painful. Good thing beer is such a good pain reliever.

I think it improves Glenn's looks. Adds character.

Dora, those curtains are great, saw them at Niagara in '13
Glenn, hope you've recovered, that early beer from Dave helped I am sure. Good to know he'll be there for me in a similar situation, as we shall be with him and Rita at Manitoba, Niagara, and Mississippi rallies starting in August.

We have had a great time at this rally. Good friends, great food, cold beer, an opportunity to do a good deed daily, great weather, about 50 dogs for our Brittany to bark at and I only got bit once. The best hosts in the Escape Family you could ever have. I met people who wanted to talk about similar experiences, to Rita and me including jobs, equipment, cars and trucks, you name it, that they had experienced in life. We're staying until tomorrow, as tonight is still part of the American holiday weekend so we don't have to find a campsite. Hope this post doesn't sound too sappy, boil it down over a campfire and make syrup.
Dave

Well, sounds like we missed a great time, but at least I got to watch the Indy 500 today.

HI Dora,
It was great to meet You and Fred and talk trailers.
Ya, those mirrors were a good score!
Thanks to everyone who participated in the Swapping of the Stuff....people were very generous with re-homing their "stuff" again this year.

Thanks to whoever gave me the stinger with two inch ball. I have a very good use for it and appreciate getting it. We took a container we no longer use in the cupboards and it disappeared in just a few minutes. Lots of good stuff, course I am a hoarder and my name is Dave.
