What A Great Time

Just got back from the 2012 Osoyoos rally. Man, what a great time! Met some great people, saw some awesome modifications and showed off our 19's rear dinette to what seemed to be an endless stream of the curious on Friday and Saturday. For those who didn't get a chance to see it, we hope to be there next year <g>.

Oh, and on the way home, we picked up a new container for the Rhino stinky slinky. I know, I know, the original will work just fine but the new setup is more hefty, so to speak, and should last a long time. Mounting the container will be a challenge but I plan on doing it the same way as Paul S. did his.

Thanks to all who attended for a great get-together. See you all next year.

Re: What A Great Time

I am one of the countless hoards who would be delighted to see photos of a 19 footer with a rear dinette. We don't own an Escape yet but the rear dinette would add a great deal of flexibility to those of us who camp with extended family. Could you really seat ten to eat a meal?

Also has anyone got photos of the inside of the tongue mount exterior storage unit for the 19 footer? I'm interested in how they mount the two six volt batteries and how much room they take up.

Not exactly what you are looking for but some of Jon's photos to look at in the mean time of the storage box.

Re: What A Great Time

quimbydk, there is a photo somewhere on the forum of the rear dinette in a 19' but don't know if it can be found. Looks a lot like in the front but you can have it done different ways.

The storage box exterior photos may give you an idea of how much room is in the box besides the batteries. The batteries take up the area in the middle from back of the box to the front which is the top of the photo to the bottom. So there is plenty more space to the sides. Can't tell you how they are mounted as I have never looked down there.

We have a piece of wood that goes on top of the batteries and then we can put some light things on top of that also. We have chocks, stabilizer pads, tongue jack block, WDH, clothesline pipes, levelling blocks and more in the box.

Is that some sort of switch on top of each battery in the picture?

here is the link to the thread here with the rear dinette pictures, I thought of doing that and got a price quote for my 19' but sleeping on a table is not as strong as the permanent bed, I know
because we had one crack in another camper, all the weight is transferred to the 2x 3/4" trim supports along the sides. On the other hand, the under bed storage is easy to access.
