Love the new maple.....unfortunately our trailer is built and in QC with the oak - it's always something!

Its great they are updating the interior, but its kinda annoying to hear less than two weeks after picking ours up. With updates typically being made throughout the year, its hard to anticipate any significant changes. That being said, we love our Escape!

Folks have requested a different wood interior for some time, so good to see it happening. I do like the Maple.
One could easily mod cabinet door inserts on the existing trailers, but really haven’t seen anyone do that. I remember one SCAMP fella modded wire mesh inserts in his cabinets in the PNW to help with the humid climate.
Nice to see some changes and choices on the interior.

We had decided to go with the stock counter tops and flooring as the price started to get out of hand, now with the option of something different, we are thinking that we may change to the new design. We are going to look at the new floor and Formica tonight.

Was just about to sign off the build sheet today when I saw the new interior in an email from Escape. Lucie and I really like the new wood color (because all of our custom choices are very dark colors), the new faucet looks much more upscale and taller (therefore maybe more functional?), I'll probably install some lighting in the cabinets which will look nice with the frosted glass and if the backsplash is an issue seems to be an easy fix? So we changed our order to include the new interior, yikes

I like the maple as it is lighter than the oak. The doors in a year or so will develop a patina that will closer match the panelling. The glass in the doors is not too bad, but I still like a solid wood door myself. Hopefully there would be an option there, but either would be acceptable to me.

With the panelling on the walls in the kitchen area there would be no need now for a backsplash. There would be no problem ensuring a good seal between the countertop and the panelling both being a solid surface. I would like to see more colour with the wall panelling in the kitchen area as opposed to white. Maybe a textured panelling there.

The wall headliner colour is is lighter but seems to match the walls fine.

I like the stock changes for counter and floors better than previous but I would bet custom will still be the popular choice. I think offering two different colour combos might be a popular thing.

Mineral Jet, you bet!

Mineral Jet Formica pattern? Wait, that is the Formica pattern we selected for our just-finished build way back in September. Thanks to DW for her sharp design eye. I demand a refund for a custom Formica selection...(of course, just kidding!!). It is a good color for a small space and will be dynamite with maple. We have oak, of course, but that is OK also. I really, really do like the glass front upper cabinets and covet them, especially with 12 v lights behind.

Since ETI doesn’t have photos yet, here are some screen dumps from their video.

But I have the 2019 21 being built. I haven’t seen a mirror on the 21.

I have Eastern Maple in my Scamp. It's gotten pretty dark over the years. I like the oak in Ten Forward. But honestly, I don't even notice all the wood.

I LIKE the new flooring. It's closer to 'dirt.' After all, I am camping...

Either new or old, I'm sure owners will love what they get and it's always nice to have choices.

Yes, I just heard back from Escape, regardless of wood choice:
IF you decide to stay with the Oak Interior, there are a couple of things that will be standard in 2019 regardless of interior choice. All 2019 builds will have the new faucet as shown in the attached pictures, no back splash in the kitchen as well as the new look of the dividing wall.

Also the lights are also new, no flickering issues....

I’ve viewed the video 3 times and read the posts and I still don’t see any reason to get excited . The functionality of the trailer is basically unchanged .
