Thank you Tammy and Reace and all at Escape, for the speedy replacement of our fridge as we travelled through Chilliwack on our return to Vancouver Island after a 7 week trip through the southern USA. A wonderful response to what would have been $400 in extra ferry costs and the loss of use of our trailer, if we had to leave it and make a return trip to pick it up.

ps. toured a 5.0TA - wow!!!....we've had a 17b, now a 19, and it's a good thing we need the roof of the truck to carry our kayaks.

I have to say this is another reason we support ETI, which other company would take the time to work around your schedule. Thier after sales support is above and beyond.

Hate to tell you praireboy...... but we too had the 17 and the 19 and recently brought home our newest addition the 21 because we wanted the extra room and still be able to bring our kayaks. I have to say that we loved our 19 but are even happier with the 21 and the room we have. We jokingly call it a dance floor now.

Hi,
For those of you at the rally ( sure wish we were there!) hopefully you can find out what is going on with the 2 door replacement-
1.rough cost possibly and procedure- 2. how do they ( the local dealer) find our names on a list? 3. How did Reace and others find the 2 door in higher temps?

You guys have an opportunity to ask the questions,
Thanks

I hear the cost is around $200, no more and you tell Escape you definitely want the switch, they will submit to Dometic and obtain a claim number. You should also research where you want it done locally and then coordinate with them once the new unit is sent. I'm having trouble with my single here in the desert below 43 so I'm going to switch upon return. I'm also going to get new tires and my bearings repacked, all at my expense of course.

Hi Jim... your Escape is only a year old, isn't it? Why new tires and bearings repacked so soon?

Thanks!

Last I heard, Reace asked for a time-out while they get some coordination things resolved with Dometic. So I guess that's happened by now. I've been curious about fitting the new fridge to our 2013 Escape. Reace posted at one time that some mods need to be made to the perimeter seal in the Escape to convert from old to new fridge. I've emailed them twice to ask if they can provide some guidance to the installer, but no reply. I'll give Reace a call now that it sounds like things are definitely proceeding.

I'm also curious about warranty coverage. I understand that even though Dometic is installing a new fridge, they will not extend the coverage beyond the original two year period. I recently received an advert from Dometic for an extended warranty. I wouldn't normally go for it, but if it extends the old warranty period which in effect covers this new fridge for a couple of years, I think I might do it. What a mess.

Jim, Can you double check? Tammy told me during the week there was no claim number, just your serial number.

Osoyoos 10am

Fridge -2c/30f

Freezer -10c/15f

On 5 bars.

ETI Replaced mine for $125. No idea how that will translate to your situation.
