But it will make a nice sized guest bed on the rare occasion we need it. The counter is definitely not as long as the traditional 21', but a bit longer than the 19'. One of the benefits for us is the extra 4" (or so) in the walkway. With dogs and 2 less-than-slender humans, it was a more comfortable fit. It also has 2 doors above the sink/stove, and a longer door above the bed in back.
Your profile says 21 T2, (or LE?) and your post says NE. Escape called it LE in the thread title but call it LTE on their website. What is this darn trailer layout called?! Marketing really needs to get on that fast.

No pictures of the trailer? You might be have been the first to see the new layout in person.

I wouldn't think it matters very much. Nothing really in a name. Because others outside of Escape like to make up names, it does confuse things. Heck, some even put an E in front of the style?

Seems the 5.0 TA counter just might fit in the 21LE, hmm very interesting : )

Hate to be the bearer of bad news. David D. from Escape posted on the Escape website comment section yesterday that the counter is actually 2" SMALLER than the 19.

The NE came from the build sheet they sent this week, so maybe that's the name they're settling on? I know there was a bunch of conversation early on about the name - don't want to rehash that. Although I was fond of T2.

We were the first to see it (anxious much? nope, not us! ) It wasn't even fully assembled when we saw it. I did take a few pictures of the interior, but they were of things like the cabinet doors over the sink/stove, and the door over the bed, to remind myself how they differ from the 19'. I also did some measurements, but can't figure out where I wrote them. I'm surprised that the counter is smaller in the 21'NE than in the 19' (just based on my gut feel), but I'm sure I can find a way to survive. We are adding the counter extension by the sink. We received the schematics showing standard and optional lights, outlets, etc. but they don't have measurements.

Duh, I was having a bald seniors moment there. Just stay with the classic 21 for the rear dinette!!! 😆

Room with a view

For those of you concerned that there won't be a decent view from the 21'NE's dinette, I found it to be the opposite. Sitting at the U-shaped dinette, there is a great view through the large window at the back of the trailer. The 4" of added width (compared to the 19') really opens up the view.

Thank You!
That is not as appealing for us, though I still like that dinette. Oh well I guess we will wait and see what they are able to do with the other 2020 design and until then enjoy our 19.

I thought that it looked smaller. Well the length of counter in our 19, even with the stove top turned 90*, was marginal. My wife loves the longer countertop in the our 21.

We had one in our 19, didn't get one in the 21. It's not the same as having a longer counter and it does get in the way of another person using the door.

Interesting did you notice how the storage beside the fridge in the 21 NE compared to that in the 19?

The new build-sheet calls it a 21' NE for 'New Edition.' I don't know if that's the name that will stick since it will only be 'new' for one season. ETI should have a contest to name the new model.

Talking Layout

WE just received the pix of the final build for our E21/maple. They did the added tall cabinet just as we asked..atop the 2 drawer cabinet at foot of front bed, and they put the wardrobe at the top also as Holly asked. We like it and will really be glad for the extra storage. Larger sink looks super too, as does the MW installed under the range top.. Hate to wait til Spring to go pick it up!!! If I could figger out how to post pix I would..sorry. :-(

Holly/Fred: See my attachment. That should guide you through how to post photos. It's not hard.
