ETI moving up schedule

Received an email a couple of days ago from Tammy asking if we would be interested in moving our scheduled completion date up anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks due to new people hired for production. Since I wont be traveling from Wisconsin until June 1, I requested keeping my March 22nd date. I'm purchasing a 19 but there was also an updates on the 5.0.

I got the same email yesterday. I have already made pre retirement reservations
for 3 weeks on the Oregon coast and the move up for my 19 foot would have hit right at the same time. I also have to sell my current trailer before I can take ownership of the new Escape. Bummer, I also opted to keep my June 2017 date.

I think that was just a generic email sent out to all those with trailers on order. I got it last Friday too.

I imagine once ETI finished it's expansion that the backlog of orders will decline. For those who have ordered and want their unit sooner, be prepared to jump at an earlier opportunity. Have your build sheet signed, payments made and be ready. for those who do not want their unit sooner, just sit tight, but even then you may be moved up as the other spaces are filled in.

I replied right away and got moved from April 17th to Feb 7th. This is exactly what I was hoping would happen. We really wanted to make the trip in the winter so we can hit some ski resorts in the area.

Sounds like good news for those of us way down the list. Currently have an 8/16 completion date and have been hoping that it would be moved up at some point. I haven't received any emails yet but hope to get one down the line.

I have a 5.0 TA on order with a delivery date of 4/10/17. I asked Tammy when photos of the 2017 5.0 TA would be available. She said:
"We will have photos posted of the new Fifthwheel available by December 29 which will give you about two weeks to review these photos prior to finalizing your build sheet.
I will have 12 days to make any final changes before submitting my build sheet which is due 1/10/17.

Some of us know that feeling well Thomas. Here's the first picture we saw when ETI came out with the 1st 5.0TA. It was posted on 4/21/14, had to have my build sheet in on 4/3/14, Alf was even earlier. I believe it turned out well for all of us.

Just for accuracy's sake... I found an earlier set of it coming out of the mold on 4/7/14.

I now realize my previous post may have sounded very negative. That wasn't my intent. I trust ETI enough that I would buy a new model TT sight unseen.

Thomas, I don't read your post as negative. A little nervous maybe, but not more than that. You may have the first 2017 5.0 TA in Texas! If I wasn't already planning to fly up after Quartzsite to visit Chilliwack, I'd be clamoring to see yours.

Judging from the refinements on the other 2017's the 5er should be awesome! Mine is due for delivery in September; hopefully an early delivery is in my future.

Rich

I didn't read it as negative, just wanted to let you know that not seeing what you're getting till the last minute isn't all that abnormal.

Hi ReagentGrade,

Your plan to go to ETI to see a 5.0 TA yourself is a good plan. We plan to personally pick up our trailer at ETI, then travel until early September. It is possible we may be in Texas sometime in the middle, but nothing definite right now.

I'm happy to show our trailer to anyone if the schedule works out.

We received the email yesterday. We jumped at the opportunity for an earlier delivery. Our current date is Aug 28 and we'd love to have it for next summer.

Received the email yesterday. While it would be nice to have it sooner, declined moving date up. With no disrespect, but the additional wait time will allow them to train the new hires in how to build a trailer and with perhaps fewer "oops"....also will have about a year on the new design in the field to see if any changes are needed.

How do you know who will be building which trailer?
