Different people have different interests and concerns. I'm sure the furnace-change post count is still far behind the what-colour-of-formica post count (there might be 174 threads on that)... and I'm only significantly interested in one of those subjects.

To someone considering a 21, this has been a very interesting thread. All 19 pages, mostly. Considering it changes the look, has the heater in a totally different placement, might draw more power, etc.

Different color Formica.... Not as important to me. At least not yet.

AND this thread references the "I may be old but I've seen the great bands" theme!
Mississippi River Festival 72-74. OMG! Who didn't we see!?!

Altamont! Then I just lived over the hill in Mission San Jose! But saw all the great ones! Mic Gillette was a good friend of mine played in band together. He started the horn section for TOP and Cold Blood so huge fan of Power! But this is a trailer site so never mind.... For people looking at trailers now the new location would be 'normal'. So shush. No telling! 😉

Red face Apology?

Earlier I posted a thread that some of you took offense to. If you re-read it the intent is to say that all of the comments about ETI are positive and that is very rare because practically ALL companies have (removed but starts with an 'a') so there's always someone commenting negatively about a company except ETI which (my point was) is why I totally trust ETI in making the right choices for me because there isn't one past customer that seems to be unhappy with ETI or it's owners.

So my apologies if some of you mis-read my posting. Not apologizing for those who were offended by my use of 'the word that wasn't even spelled out ' but started with an 'a' and DID NOT continue with a double 's'! Geez... Really a LOL if you ask me. Final thread for me as I'm stopping playing this game.

Carry on...

No offense taken here. I hope this isn't really your last post. We need a few more "rockers".

Where ever the furnace ends up in our trailer or what color the grill is will be fine with me. ETI knows what they are doing. Just open the obituaries section of your local paper and see how many of them are younger than you and then you can see what is important in life. Loren

AGREED... OMG, I AGREE.

Everyone needs to remember, while this forum is a for profit venture, the moderators are volunteeers. Although it can appear I'm online 24/7, I do sleep and so do the others.

Please give us a chance to fix whatever is wrong, report the thread... don't get mad and go away. We all lose.

I second Donna's post.
Further, if a post upsets you, take a breath and read it again a few minutes later before responding. Very often that will change your understanding of just what is being said or asked.

Lets all remember too that very often with the written word the intent of the writter is lost. Thats why most of us are not proffesional writters. Unless someone is being totally off the board offensive, it often isn't ment to offend.

Perfect heater location.

The new heater location is great. Center of the trailer! In fact, if you leave the bathroom door open, it will blow warm air into it making for a warm room in the middle of the night! Had a great trip from Washington to Boise and back to Placerville, Ca. Trailer was flawless and very easy to tow. I was a little worried starting out, though because My tow vehicle is a Dodge Ram 2500 diesel !,

Thanks for the report on the furnace. It sounds like it all worked out for the better. Glad you had a great trip home. Loren

Covey,
I realize the 2500 diesel has all the torque in the world, no matter what year, but for those of us who like to watch mpg, how about giving us a report while towing. It can't have changed much.
Thanks.

Why should this worry you? Seems to be a reasonably capable tow vehicle?

To Whom it May Concern,

Effective February 11, 2015 the furnace (Atwood Model #8012) we have been using is no longer available.

This furnace has been replaced with a new higher efficiency furnace (Atwood Model #AFSAD12). This new furnace is slightly larger and in the 21’ Escape we have had no other option but to relocate it to the 3 – drawer cabinet located on the driver’s side at the foot of the bed. By relocating the furnace to this cabinet we have had to delete the two center drawers as shown in the attached photo.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please feel free to forward any questions you may have.

Tammy Harmatuik, Business Manager
Why can't I find Atwood AFSAD12 model furnace in any of Atwood's literature. The RV furnace literature I see from Atwood still lists the old Everstar 8012 II, at 1.8amp by the way.

Where can I see specs for this new furnance AFSAD12.
