Hi Linda I notice you live in Washington . Have kids there too . Jenny who was asking lives in different temps being Florida . Can make a difference in performance. Still would make sure all is done . Might be a little cost for them . Sure would save trouble like many of us have had to do this after the fact . Pat

Hi all we were camped in the East Kootenays at Koocanusa Lake and the temps were hitting 37C (99F) during the day and our fridge worked great.
Freeze went down to -16C (3F) and the fridge made it down to 3C (37F) set on 4. we were in the fridge and freezer lots for ice and mix for blender drinks (love the solar panel inverter combo). the only mod to our fridge (6.7) is adding the insulation to the freezer door.

Cheers
Doug

I still would follow and do what Domectic requires for installing their frig's . Most of us live in desert like conditions even in the winter . Anyone can goggle Dometic's requirements for installations . Glad you have no problem's . As said before I think it is very prudent to be prepared .I really didn't like having to take care of my own fixes . I am getting tired especially I will be 69 here shortly . Sincerely ,Pat

thanks Reace. I second that all of the above. I tell any who will listen that the customer care and service that You and Tammy give is second to none.

Followed Doug's (PGDriver) lead above and installed insulation in the doors of both the freezer and the fridge. Giving up fridge door storage will be a slight pain, as I do use those trays.

24hr cycle time on propane, 4 bars, outside temp 25C, freezer temp 6F. Coldest I'd ever recorded was 10F and usually higher in the teens... Hopefully the ice cream will be hard for next trip's duration.

Thanks Doug!

Going from California to Washington , Oak Harbor . We experienced conditions from lows of 30-40's at night . Highs 60-70 at day . Coming home to California with temps in the 100's in day , going down to 60's at night . Frig was set at 4 bars always both propane and electrical .Freezer removed , Frig went to a low of 31 in cooler temps -in California 44 was highest in daytime temps . If we opened door frig recovered very fast in a few hours . Never went over 44 . Before adding insulation frig would go to 56 when we opened door on electrical with AC running in trailer . It would take all day into the night before it would recover . I would say I didn't waste my time . Also insulating cabinet in very important . These frig's are not like the older models in performance just fancy blue lights inside . But I am much happier with my outcomes . Getting both extremes in 3 weeks . Pat

They don't say it but guessing it employs vascular bilkodation to adjust photomic and thermal kinetic energies. But where are the validating academic studies? Where are the blinking lights? At least with the Willow Curve for six hundred bucks you get blinking lights.
