New Escape Trailer Website .....

Hi All -

Just a brief note on a few pending announcements.

We're in the process of launching a new website on a new host. The transfer is underway now, and should be completed later this evening. While the site is down, our email is still working

I'll be back with more details on pricing and new features in 2020, new model timelines, and updates on the Rally in Osoyoos this coming week.

Regards,

David Desjardins
Director of Sales & Marketing

The maple leaf appears to be fading.

Looks like you now have to sign up before you can build a trailer on line. Not something you have to do when pricing out a car or truck on line. Kind of puts me off.

Reading “Escape History” on the new web page, brought tears to my eyes....

Well, well, new website answers the question marks, a bit, of the new trailers: a new 21 layout based on the 19, a 23' model, and a boat!

The new site shows a CAD price and a USD price, but the two don't really match up with the current exchange rate. Is ETI now going to charge USA residents a premium, or are the numbers just there as a general guide?

I note the 17B page mentions a couple of times that you don't need a truck to pull a 17, but that the main art on the page shows a 17B with a truck.

The maple leaf spare tire cover has been replaced with a Trillium-like grove of pines and copy describing the kitchen says, "The Escape 17B comes standard with an easy and comfortable galley"... Whatever that means.

I know. It's a work in progress.

I was curious about the two numbers, as well.
With the exchange rate varying constantly, how can they quote a firm price in USD unless they are willing to take the currency risk?

You now have to fill out a questionnaire to see all the options? Stupid!

How do you dig up the price list for 2020? People are talking about US and CAD prices - I can only see indicative option prices USD.

I hope that the maple leaf remains for Canadians and others who prefer it, but I was immediately drawn to the pines. The logo reminds me of beloved mystery writer Louise Penny, who develops characters in the fictitious Canadian community of Three Pines, a place I'd love to visit!

As to the galley, the thing I'm really going to miss is a small oven. Though I understand that ETI once offered it in the 17B, it longer does, and I haven't been able to find an indoor alternative that will fit in the microwave's usual spot.

Interesting, first thing I noticed. Also seems to say " made in British Colombia" versus " proudly built in British Colombia".

I would hate to see them order a few hundred tire covers using the computer and allowing the computer to spell the name of their province. Probably wouldn’t become a collectors item. Frusteraites mee two.

Sign Up, No Thanks

Generally when I am shopping online and a site wants me to input my information, I leave, close the window, go find another product, just saying.

Just put the information on the website and make it easy to find, why make it difficult.

They let the sales dept have too much influence, I also don't care for the gleaning of contact info before you can see the product, if it were a car dealer I'd go elsewhere.

I've always liked the old spare tire cover, even bought a spare.

You have to jump through the hoops, including coughing up your contact info. I too find this off putting, but here’s the 2020 price list for a 19 in CAN$.

Hi: daviddesjardins... I find it hard to believe that any company in direct sales would make the process of buying a major item such as a travel trailer less friendly. I'm another consumer who dislikes having to "Sign up" just to have a look!!! Alf
