Did you wire in a solenoid/relay for the electric element ? That's really nice.

That sounds more like it. The 5100K is a great fan. Enjoy.

Yes, I agree the 5100# model is great and the 7500# model with remote and motorized lift has been discontinued as an option. Why, I'm not sure, other than as Wetzk mentions the remote had issues. But without the remote the 7500# would function manually. I really like the smoke lens on the 7500# model.

The MaxxFan remote does not get a lot of use in our trailer, but does stay in the loft by the bed so I can easily turn it up or down when boondocking in hot climates in order to keep the trailer as cool as possible and provide a bit of breeze, while keeping it as low as possible to minimize noise. When just hanging out inside the trailer, it is easier to manually adjust as opposed to looking for the remote to use.

Jim: The 6200K is the 5100K with the smoke lens. That is the only difference. I replaced with this model when the lifting arm on the original broke and appreciate the soft light that is allows in. Maybe ETI would provide this model if asked?

I requested and they had a 7500K# with remote which they will install but not provide any warranty beyond working when picking up. But that just means I have to deal with Airxcel direct. Other than the remote, it can easily be used manually.

Yes it is fully wired in and real handy too.

I came close to putting a couple of the mad modders on here on ignore so I could save money and time. But they finally settled down so I now have more free time to do stuff like rebuild the deck and replace the shingles on the back buildings and such.

Now be honest! The reason the mods are so tempting is that some of them are nice to have.

Oh, when an opportunity arises for us to tour our trailers, I have a new list of stuff that is "nice to have" done to my trailer to show you and I would like to see some of the mods that you have come up with.

So, get caught up with your todo list so we can start another one for new trailer mods.
