Production Schedule for 2019
Looks like a banner year coming up, there is only one day available for each Escape model -17/19/21/5.0 for the first 4 months in 2019. Appears like production is in full swing, estimated to be 2/day.

We were going to have the first 2019 5.0TA, but found that getting everything sorted out on our build sheet, ordering fabric, etc. went more smoothly and quickly than we had anticipated (months of reading everything on the forum helped tremendously) and saw that a Dec. 28 slot was still available that came with the $1,000 discount so we switched to that.

It still can be the first 2019, I believe Escape changes their year in December, my 2014 Escape was finished in December, 2013, but titled 2014.

I picked up my 2008 17B in July of that year. It is titled 2009.

That's really something, how fast the schedule fills this time of year. I looked about 3 weeks ago, and at that time I think there were still slots in November.
But then, who wouldn't like to get their new trailer right around May or early June? Good time of year for a vacation to BC!

Yes, a vehicle manufacturer can pick their transition of model years arbitrarily, and it is common to switch months before the actual change of year. With cars that corresponds to when the design is changed (either a new generation or just minor updates), but since there are few if any year-to-year changes for most RVs the transition usually isn't important.
Car buyers do often want a newer-looking model year designation to help resale value when they ditch the thing only a few years later. This doesn't seem so important for Escapes.

But the 10th character of the VIN says that the model year is 2008, so it's just titled incorrectly, right?

Beats me. It's on the insurance papers as 2009 and when Tammy made the name tags for the Escape Rally she put 2009 17B.
The paper inside the cupboard and the sticker on the outside give the date of manufacture as 2008.
Matters not to me.
Just added registration and license document. So government and private insurance and Tammy all say 2009.

Ours is the same as Glenns...
Manufactured in July 2007 but is listed as a 2008.. (and we bought it in 2009!)

Just posted on FB by Escape are some great 2019 build dates. Some of which could get you in the area for the Escape Appreciation camp out in May http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f1...tml#post267953
If you have a later date...you may want to talk nice to them to see if you can get it moved up. Remember that they will hold your new trailer for a few months free of charge. Great for attending the event. Just make sure to book your orientation as the week before the event is very popular.
Good luck and see you there!

It says production schedule for 2019 but nothing for pickup after April. What about the rest of the year? Will the factory post another schedule later in the year or is that it for 2019?

Don’t worry, the trailers are in production all year long. They just post the next available few dates...as they are taken the next dates are added.

BillE, I would think that after the dates listed on their website, it would be pretty open. The only way to find out is to contact them directly. They are very nice people.
