2nd generation refrigerator vent awning

Just wanted to give a heads up to this neat addition to your Escape, especially for the 2nd generation refrigerators with the large outside vent. I contacted a commercial forum member here-Charlie at RV Widget Works | , and explained what I felt was needed. He fabricated one and sent to me to experiment with. Well I installed it 2 days ago and last night we had a good rain, went out today, not a drop on the outside refer vent. For those who have been following the issue, it seems that water, under certain conditions can enter the vent and get inside your Escape. Reace suggested a fix here http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f9...-fix-9985.html. With Charlie's product on the outside, there is little chance of water getting inside, so between both fixes the problem is solved. He includes the VHB tape for installing and the item color matches the Escape's exterior.
Charlie sent me the prototype, so you will need to ask him for pricing...

Thumbs up

Yes, he was my frantic call one night after a heavy rain infiltrated my trailer and I had not heard back from Escape yet. I called him with my problem and he calmed me down with his ideas. Eventually heard back from Escape and between the two I feel confident it is fixed.
