300 Lumens on a Single AA?

Ordered a couple of these today. I'll let the forum know what I think once I have them, but by all accounts they put out a ton of light for such a small flashlight:

I didn't order one, but yesterday I put this into my Amazon Wish List. (I do have a birthday coming up!)

Olight SR52UT Intimidator Cree Xp-L Hi LED 1100 Lumen Extended-Range Rechargeable Flashlight - - Amazon.com

If one magically appears under my birthday cake, I'll be using it for 4 months in Big Bend starting January. I'll resurrect this thread and report back.

Ahhh marketing.
Which should I buy "Tactical" or "Intimidator"

Which would be the "Professional" choice?

A flashlight thread - I love flashlights! My latest favorite for having around home is this MagLite LED It's amazing how far the beam carries for the price.

Rayovac sent me this Rayovac Indestructible as a replacement for a nice MagLite that their batteries leaked into and ruined. I keep it in the Tacoma - seems like it can take a real beating.

I think that they are all professionally intimidating in a tactical sense. Whereas all my freebies from Harbor Freight are completely unprofessional and would intimidate no one!

I hope Mary never decides to count how many flashlights I actually own....

The problem with a flashlight, is you need one, to find one.

That's my rationale for having them spread out everywhere, around the house, in the trailer, in the Tacoma, in the Corolla, garage, basement .....

Get the one that goes best with your double knit track suit.

I have one of these on my keychain, and if I don't forget to turn it off, it works.
Uses 2016 batteries. Cheapest place for button batteries is Mountain Equipment Coop.

I much prefer headlamps to flashlights, as they can leave both hands free to do things. While I do have some powerful ones, I generally just use one with a retractable cable so they fit nicely in the pocket, even more compact than many flashlights. If desired, you can just use it like a flashlight too.

I have an older ZIPCA, and it works great. Plenty of light for any task. Click on image.

The e+LITE looks good too. Really small, but with big features. I might pick one of these puppies up. Click on image.

These are both available at MEC in Canada, and I bet REI carries them too.

As long as you have a nearby Harbor Freight, their "free" 9 lamp, 3 AAA battery flashlights solves the problem - I have a couple dozen. While I start out with one in each place, the only problem is I eventually end up with a bunch of them in one location & none where I need it!
