app review

For those with ipads, ipod touches, or iphones.....

Three apps that I've found with lots of good information

"state lines" - good information on laws in all States

"Campwhere" - pretty dang good information on camping (all except the most unofficial boondocking)

"RV Parks" - yup, you guessed it, need I say more?

17' Plan A, '05 Nissan Frontier, canoe, dog.

Re: app review

I'll add a couple more:

AAA Trip Tik Mobile - Good for finding campgrounds; don't know if you already have to be a member.
Border Times - Wait times for border crossings
Google Earth
The Photographer's Ephemeris - Although I use this to determine sun & moon rise & set times it also gives the location of each; useful if you have solar and want to park in the right direction...

Mary really loves her Audubon Bird and Audubon Wildflower apps.

Re: app review

Ok.. I'm in..

I have the Android phone and use "My tracks" almost every day.. It great for hiking/biking.. It track distance, speed, elevation, time, moving time and does all the average calculations. It uses the GPS function.. I also use 'Fring' & 'Sipgate' that allows wi-fi calls it's a tad buggie but I intend to use it when I leave the states so I don't pay for those expensive calls..
