Audio

Having had the ETI installed Jensen stereo in the 17 I knew we wouldn't be doing that on the 21. That is a car stereo and most know you can spend $$$ on car audio with amps/speakers, etc. The ETI version is good in the realm of good/better/best IMO.

I was thinking about one of the Bose units that friends have yet wasn't keen on spending the $$ for one. As it turned out we got very lucky and saw an Acoustic Wave at a thrift store and bough it for a song

Having had it now for five months it is pretty awesome and versatile. With our battery charger/tire pump we can take it out away from the trailer when we're sitting. With the AUX Out & (now on newer models) Bluetooth one can use it with TV, laptops, tablets, etc. The sound is really amazing; and in a boondock situation with no one around cranking it up outside is . I would spend the $1100 for a new one now- but if this one dies(1999 model) then they'll sell me one for 1/2 price. That's their policy and you don't have to be an original owner

The first Bose product we bought was ten years ago we gave each other headphones as we were flying a bit. The thirty day satisfaction thing made us gamble we would think they were worth it for $300/ea. Still love them and don't leave for airports w/out them

So for those of you who are undecided on audio option you might take them up on the trial period and check one out.

And then there's those of us, when out in nature, who would rather listen to the wind in the trees, a babbling brook or the crackle of wood in a fire

Glad you only do it when no one else can hear it. When I hear speakers outside cranked up my blood boils.

Though there is an open invitation for anyone to come out to our land camping, I must warn that we do put on some good tunes during the day, while we play all terrain bocce, and other fun games.

It is not going at all times by any means, but we do like tunes.

When the rare occasion takes us to a campground, if we play music at all outside, it is at a level that neighbouring campers would have to strain to hear it, and only during the day at that. Guitars are for night time.

With you on that; prefer the natural sounds as well. We don't even listen to it all that much- just like we hardly ever pull out the TV, which doesn't go on every trip. But when we feel like it (mostly softer background) it's nice to have a great sound in the great trailer
