I looked but couldn't find any place. So I ordered ours from Amazon.com and had it delivered to a parcel hold at the border. Picked it up and paid the HST (Ontario). In Thunder Bay we live 1/2 hour drive from the border so just a hop to get stuff. Interestingly the clam came from one place in the US and the side panels came from another place... so two packages.

I don't think ours was inside out. But I think I got it up in about a minute. I think the "take down" took me longer to figure out how to get it all rolled up to fit in the bag. Ended up buying sleeping bag straps to sort of "hold it together" to get it back in the bag.

I think that is what happened with mine, I returned it.....

Many items offered on Amazon.com - both from Amazon itself and from resellers - are not available on Amazon.ca, and not shipped to Canada from Amazon.com.

Fbalexander, I found the larger of the 2 Clam shelters on the Princess Auto website. I think the cost was $379.

Sorry - the screen tent that Princess Auto has is the Gazelle (previously mentioned on this thread) - appears to be virtually identical to the Clam. And the cost is $379 CDN.

The 12x12 Clam also comes in Forest Green. At Amazon, the shelter + 3 wind panels + 12 stakes goes for $290 US. Can also use it on the patio at home. Thanks for the tip.

The 6 X 6 ft Clam seems to be on sale at Amazon.com for $158.39

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I stopped dithering and finally ordered one, plus the 3 extra wind panels and some extra tent peg stakes. $208.38 USD for all 3 items, which is less than the regular $219.99 price for the shelter alone.

This is the one I got after returning a larger 12x12 size made by another manufacturer, this one is perfect for 2-4 people. Very pleased with it and the panels.

Got the same one, with the 3 sides. ran me $20 more then your deal. The only issue is the stakes it comes with are crap.

Haven't had a need for the sides as yet, it so simple I just take it down and toss it in the back of the truck when not in use. It does move around a lot when you're trying to set it up, need to get more practice.

Hi: padlin... You could have brought it to Niagara Wine Escape and practiced there!!! Sorry you can't be there.

We just sold our large 6 panel model 9281 Clam because it was just too big for our use and purchased the smaller model 9881 and really like it. Much easier to haul around and fits most campsites better we think.

Yes, we did the same, the large one is good for 4-8 people, whereas the smaller Clam is perfect for 1-4 and more easy to erect by one person. Did you get the extra panels? They come in handy with rain.

Yes got the extra panels for this one too. Have not used the yet on the new one but did on the large one. Smaller one also takes up a lot less room in the truck.

Clam Pop Up

We bought the larger Clam and matching wind/rain panels this spring after spending many hours researching the pro's and con's of the various shelter's and our needs. The first time we set it up it was a bit awkward but that was more our issue then the shelter. We noticed that the roof had been over stitched in a couple of places possibly allowing it to leak. I took a couple of pic's and after a very pleasant phone call to a very helpful warranty department a replacement was shipped the next day. The customer service, funtionality and eze setup makes this an even better shelter in my humble opinion.

Looks like the CAD-US exchange is making the Clam a little more economical for us Canucks. The Traveler comes in 2 colours - green and brown. Is there a significant difference? The brown one is more expensive, and the wind panels have a window. Any other advantages? Is the brown fabric heavier?
Thanks!

The green Clams gets hotter in the sun here in the south. The side panels on the brown have windows and a flap goes over the top of the attached panel to make it more water tight. The green side panels have no windows. I have a green 1600 my next will be brown.
