I think its time to see if there is enough interest to set up a group buy.

Most of the marine grade ones were in the same price range as this one. Most vendors sell this one for about $270-360 (Here is one link - CLICK), and I paid even less from the manufacturer. At about $80 more than the Weber Q 100 (which does work good), I really do believe it really was worth it.[/QUOTE]
You stated you paid less at the manufactures site but I see it is listed for $436.56. Am I missing something?

Not from the site itself, but from the manufacturer if you call for a quote.

I've seen the Weber 100Q for $125.00 in Oregon. No tax!

Question for those of you who have added the low pressure regulator to your Spitfire180's: given that the regulator protrudes so far off the side, how to you pack it in order to avoid snapping it off at the stem in transit? I'm thinking about constructing a wood box, but that seems like enough work to avoid if one of you have already resolved the issue. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide!

I pack mine away under the drivers side dinette seat. I added cleats to the floor so it can't move, and keep the cover on it.

I can take and post a photo later, just letting the last coat of polyurethane I put on the new cork floor dry right now.

Here are photos of my BBQ storage. Newer models with larger black tanks, and electrical in this space may not be able to make it work. It is a great out of the way spot for when not in use.

Here it is in place with the cover on, Still lots of room around it to store other things.

With the cover off. It needs a good cleaning. We cooked lots of aphids on the outside in one campground near Zion Canyon last fall.

Here are the cleats that keep it from moving about. Note I also had to angle back the support brackets. And yes, I know, I need to use that vacuum on the left to clean up the crud.

As a bonus, you get a wee glimpse of my floor. More to come in a later thread.

Our 19 built a year ago has the AC to DC converter in that spot. I cannot use the spot for a barbeque like yours. Perhaps when they put in the larger holding tank components got rearranged. I carry mine in the T.V. The driver side bin would be an option for those with a lower profile unit. Seems to me when I tried our Webber Q it is too tall or too wide. Brian

I kept my larger Broil King in there before, but I had to turn it sideways, and it barely fit. Much better to keep them sitting flat if you can.

I've always assumed that storing a bbq in the trailer was pretty much a non-starter because it would smell, no matter how clean you got it after using it. I take it this isn't the case?

I was figuring on the front storage box for our bbq, once we get one...

(and once we get the trailer...)

My Weber Q rides on the floor in the aisle. Usually is back over the axle, but gets shifted fore and aft as required to assist with balance. The Weber has a wide footprint, so it stays in place. Haven't tested it with a panic stop though.

There really is no odour from the BBQ that we can tell at all.

We really like the fact that it is right out of the way when not in use, but still readily accessible when needed.

I made a box for the Weber Q which rides on the floor inside the trailer. Only one summer of use with the trailer so far but no concerns as yet with BBQ odors. There are cleats on the bottom to keep the BBQ from moving inside the box.
The box makes a great table to set the camp stove or BBQ onto when we set up. Also quite handy as a table to hold the beers when top is not used for cooking on.

I can certainly see advantages to having the BBQ stored under the seat like Jim B. Does not occupy space on the floor and require moving outside every time you set up and camp. With our trailer configuration we don't have any under seat storage for a BBQ.

With the trailer heading for storage soon, I plan on using the Spitfire Grill on my patio this winter. I plan on purchasing a small bottle of LP from the local hardware store to fuel it. Would I use the high or low pressure regulator for this setup? Thanks for any advise you can offer!

You will need to put your regulator back on to use a bottle. I have done this taking mine to tailgate parties. All it takes is some gas tape for the joint, and very little time to do.
