Fridge Changeover

In our Escape 19, the fridge has only two options for power, gas and AC. In our 2006 17, there were three, gas, AC and DC. When we hooked up to shore power in the 17, the fridge would automatically switch from gas to the shore power. Reading the instructions for the fridge in our 19, there is no mention of automatic changeover. Does this mean we have to manually change from gas to AC with this fridge?

Re: Fridge Changeover

When you stop to camp, you select AC or propane and start the fridge. The 5 cu. ft. fridge is AC or propane. The smaller fridge could be run on DC as well. When traveling it would be powered from the vehicle, however, it would use enough power that your trailer battery wouldn't get any charge.
So, you select the power source and start the fridge, and pop a beer.

Yes, it's manual change.
