Hose-Grip: Love it!

This past weekend I was at a campground I've been at before, so it was nice to compare trying to hook up the hose from previous visits compared to this visit. In the past many times I've not hooked up my water hose (at any campground, not just this one) as I was never able to get it tight enough. I detest water leaking all over the place, so I'd just fill my fresh water tank and use that instead of the hose.

I have tendonitis in my hands and therefore the strength in my hands is really low. So, I was intrigued by a blurbie/ad for the Hose-Grip in the October 2017 issue of Trailer Life. Finally got around to ordering it.

Hooked it up - and there wasn't any water leakage! Wonderful! Well worth the money ($27.99 ppd for one).

I use the rubber gloves I use for hooking up the sewer hose. IF I don't have a sewer connection, I use a new pair of gloves. And afterward keep them for when I dump. IF I have a sewer connection, I hookup the fresh water hose first. I'm losing the ability to grasp things tightly, rubber gloves really help me.

Me too! When I emailed the guy telling him how much I liked it, I suggested they have something similar for the other end. I've not checked to see if it'll work at the trailer end.

A suggestion for those of us with grip issues myself included go find yourself a ball of therapy wax n just gently squeeze it while watch tv or driving down the road it has helped my wife n me greatly. Our therapist gave each a ball of it after our therapy was over our grips have greatly improved over time . Just a thought to help out

You might not be the only one suffering this affliction, Kate.

I just use a quick connect from Home Depot. Costs about $5 and you only put the trailer side on one-time. At the campground hose just Quick connects to the trailers-no leaks so far in several years.
