Progressive industries is discontinuing 2 models of the EMS

The EMS PT30C and EMS PT50C were discontinued and they are selling off the older model.
Progressive Industries RV Surge and Electrical Protection industry lea

The new ones are the PT30X and PT50X and have a bit more water resistance. Our first PT30C filled up with water when we had it slightly tilted on the power pole so we learned to cover it and make sure it was not tilted even slightly.
I'll be listing the replacement one we received on Craigslist as we had Escape hardwire one in our trailer

I can comment on Progressive Industries warranty. WE purchased the portable EMS-PT30X in early 2016 and used it regularly through the camping season. It worked perfectly and we had one incident when it detected and protected us from low voltage during a period of high use throughout a specific campground. It continued to work well last season- but when we started camping in 2017, we received only rolling error codes. WE called Progressive Industries support line and they had us relate the codes and they said immediately " send it in" . We did send it back and promptly received a new unit with improved features. I wasn't sure what to expect, but can advise that I am impressed and satisfied with this level of customer service.
