Like our beloved Escapes, another great Canadian product is the Reliance Aqua-Pak 5 Gallon Rigid Water Container.
http://www.amazon.com/Reliance-Produ...pr_product_top I bought 2 of these at a Canadian Tire near Thunder Bay a few years ago.
We most often camp in places with no water hookups and on longer stays need to refill the fresh water tank. Besides their rugged construction, a great feature is that the threads for the spigot in the cap are standard pipe threads. Before I made the pictured adapter I spilled more water than I got into the tank I think. With a couple of easy to find plumbing adapters, and a short piece of water hose, it makes it relatively easy to put water into the fresh water tank. I just bought a female hose repair end and put in onto about a couple of feet long piece of hose. Now to refill I can balance the container on my knee and stick the hose into the fresh water filler.
Another thing these containers are good for is load balancing. Being rigid and sturdy you can place full ones around inside the Escape to help balance your load when needed.
