Alas we were told they were out of production and it was rumored that the molds had been destroyed. Oh well, the 19 we have is a beautiful trailer and would last us forever. At my age that might not be all that long. Recently we became aware of an Escape 21 for sale from the same parent stock as our 19. Being familiar with animal husbandry, and always up for a challenge, we decided to attempt to reproduce an Escape 13 by breeding our own. Last week we drove to Tucson, Arizona and purchased AZ Jack and Nancy's 21. Pulled it home in 4 days and put it in the barn with the 19. Though we are rookies at this we are hopeful the mating will take. The female 21 will be our mother and very shortly my bride of 47 years will be posting our beloved 19 stud trailer for sale. It's been a great trailer, very clean but did give us 2 foot-itis.

Congrats all round for a wonderful "Escape" story.

Now the real question is if Jake approves the new trailer?

Hi Loren,
Well, to be honest, we blew past Olathe on Wednesday too. I would have stopped but had a Thursday appointment with my hair stylist. So I guess we'll have to catch you next trip. By the way, you got this started when you stopt by with your beautiful 21. I think just the 21 will do us for now. What was the old line? Once a king always a king ... but once a knight (sp?) is enough.

Hi Bruce,
Jake is good with anything as long as a kind Canadian comes by with a treat every so often. As you know, he likes steak. Not too spicy, medium, no fat. Thanks

Gestation period is 113 days. Well, at least it is with pigs. In my youth I was the farm midwife.

Congratulations Dave and Rita. I just now found this thread again after not checking the forum for a few days. I wondered why you hung out so much with Jack and Nancy at the rally! You had better get that 19 sold quickly so that there's room in the barn for ours in September Actually I might be taking ours through to GA but will certainly stop for a night and bring something for Jake (and maybe you two as well).

Congratulations to Dave and Rita. I am sure you are going to enjoy your new trailer. You will be surprised how much difference two feet makes.

Thanks Leon
We enjoyed using it in Nee Mexico and Kansas on the way back from Arizona. Towed well as Jack set the Anderson hitch up right on the mark from the get go. We had about 15 gallons of water on and balance seemed about right. Of course we did not have much more than 20% of our regular camping gear with us. Looking forward to fall camping and at least one more trip before school starts.
