It is the same for an ordinary member. This works to keep a copy of what you sent. Another way to do the same thing is to put yourself in the recipients list (I use the BCC

confirm what the forum software sent, but it doesn't tell you if the other member received or read it, which might be what you need to know.
To do that, also check the first
box: Request a read receipt for this message
. If the recipient agrees, you will be notified when they read it, in a list which you can find in your PM section.
