I think you have to have 10 post before you can use the PM function. I think it was set up that way to cut down on SPAM.

All members can send/receive PMs. It's using links within posts and PMs that are restricted until reaching trusted status... more than 10 posts. Prior to that, PMs won't go through and a moderator must approve the post. A moderator can't help with a PM, we don't have visibility into PMs.

I like the original best. Jalapeño is a little to spicy for me. Have you been to the spam museum in Minnesota?

I’ve heard about that but never been to Hawaii. There used to be other similar products made by other major meat packers. I’ve lost the associations now but there was BIF, MOR, TREET. And more I think.
Wilson’s, Armor Star, Cudahay, all had similar products. Some canned products were all pork but at least one was beef based. I worked at Wilson’s in Cedar Rapids Iowa at one time for six years. It was claimed at one time to be the highest production packing house in the USA. We had Beef including kosher beef, pork and sheep kills. Also the sporting goods leather. Tractor trailer bodies , animal feeds, and pharmaceuticals including insulin and pig valves for open heart surgery on humans.

You have my sympathies. I used to do fire inspections at Black Hill Pack in Rapid City, SD. Supposedly the largest boxed beef producer in the USA at the time. Definitely not the highlight of my day. At least I only had to be there one day a year.

Iowa Dave

I’m fond of both the Jalapeño and the turkey varieties. If they layered the turkey with some mashed potatoes and then cranberry sauce, you’d have Thanksgiving in a can!
