Reg:New Gallery image Catagories

Greetings all,

I've come across a few personal albums that members have for trailer mods that they have made. We already have quite a list already planned from smoke fan covers, shelves and motion activated lights.

This led me to think that others also might find it helpfull to have a image gallery Catagory for Member Mods.

Thoughts?

That may be easier to search versus individual posts? Anyone else have thoughts?
By the way 7th Heaven, some of your mentioned items can be done from factory, you can order the upgrade to the deluxe Maxx model with remote and smoke lens for just the cost of the lens alone. In addition ETI can install shelves in your closet for an additional fee. Not sure you are aware of their "custom" touches they can perform.

Jim, you raise a good point -- there are many things that the wonderful folks at Escape will do for you that aren't on the options list. But on the other hand, I don't know a way to find them except for looking through posts. I recently spent a bunch of time looking over your threads about Blackjack, and trying to figure out all that you had done there. I also looked over your modifications to your previous 19' because they have served as inspiration for mods to our 17b.

The reason I am interested is that this is turning out to be an expensive winter for us. Lindy says that she has had enough of it and next year we are going to head south in January, and spend 2-3 months someplace where I won't need a snow shovel. In order to accomplish this, Lindy thinks a new 21 would be just the ticket. Who am I to disagree. So we are currently trying to figure out what the "real" cost of a 21 would be -- after we get all the nice customizations that Escape can do.

It would be nice to have a list somewhere of the Escape options +, but I think the only way for a buyer to really find out what ETI is willing to do is to have a long conversation with them. I expect we will look at 21s at the rally, and have that conversation then...

I like the idea of searching for the post or thread better, that way there is an explanation of what and how the mod was done. There will be posts from others too that offer links and ideas that would show more than just what a photo in a gallery would.

For me, and many others, my photos are hosted somewhere else, so are not uploaded to a gallery here.

Whenever I see an idea or mod that I like, I just grab the jpg and drag it to my desktop. I have a folder full of pictures, which helps me but not others. I think it would be helpful if, when people post a mod or idea, they label it accurately, i.e. "bathroom shelf" rather than, for example, "my Saturday project"...would sure making searching posts and threads easier!!

I think an image gallery of mods is a good idea. They'd all have the posters name, so follow up could be done by PM.

Leon, maybe several small chats would be better, we keep coming up with more things to ask about. I've found you can get mods that have not shown up in the forums so it's worth asking ETI.

The problem with searching the forum is you start looking into one mod but end up adding 5.
last week I made reservations for Vero Bch Fl. for next Jan, contemplating heading to the west side after that. 1st winter retired and I have major cabin fever. This is like shopping for groceries when you're hungry...

I think a "User Mods" category and an "ETI Custom Mods" category in the Gallery would be very helpful.
