Well it's time...

As some of you know, I started the Escape Forum shortly after I purchased an Escape Trailer out of
desire to help other Escape Owners. I sold my trailer over 3 years ago and I have been slowly easing
myself from postings and general contributions to the Forum. I come to realization that it needs new
management to “take it to next level”. My passion has changed and I’m focusing more on different
mediums, such as Online Video shows.

So with that I mind, I've been chatting with Andy who runs FiberglassRV.com over the last couple years
and I have decided to sell him the site. Andy and his team have the expertise, time and desire to
implement enhancements that I can not do. The Escape Forum will continue as an single entity with
better tools and management. Mobile app’s for smartphones, events and other functionality.

I will continue to post shows from time to time and will always have a eye on the Forum.

Re: Well it's time...

Hey there Escape owners, it's a pleasure to meet you. As Jeff mentioned, I have been working with online forum communities for the last 10 years and you all might know some of the other RV/Travel trailer sites I work with.

Glenn will continue to be lead the community as moderators. I'll be here to support the mods and the members as well as a few new faces. We know how special forum communities are and look forward to virtually meeting everyone in the years ahead.

I know it's going to take time to earn your trust. As we get to know each other please feel free to ask any questions here or shoot me a private message.

W plan to get some smart phone apps so you can access the forums from your iPhone, iPads or Android devices. We'll also get a fresh new look when we convert to vBulletin, a more robust commercial forum software.

Regards,

Andy

Re: Well it's time...

Jeff, thanks a lot for getting this site started. It truly has been a great benefit for those looking to buy a moulded fiberglass trailer, those who pulled the pin and ordered one and are looking for ideas for the build, for those that have already purchased and are looking for maintenance and upgrade info as well as just general camping stuff, and just for the great camaraderie that is abundant on this site. It was great to get to meet you and Liana in person too.

Andy, welcome to the fold, and congrats on your purchase of the site. Looking forward to what you have to bring. Do you have your order in for a new Escape yet?

And yay, we get to keep baglo keeping the peace, though he is most often the biggest trouble maker (aside from me (or Alf) maybe).

Not yet. It'll be another couple years before we get out camping as our kids are still really small. We keep a pretty strict schedule for the 1 year old and I don't know how well he sleeping schedule would go with a few others in the trailer with her! I look forward to learning all about the Escape so when the time comes to get camping, it'll sure be ab option.

Re: Well it's time...

I forgot to mention that you will see some new faces around here that help provide support (both forum software and server stuff). Janet & Dirk are friends of mine from other forum communities I work with and they help with the software support and will be here to back up Glenn and our mod team. Jeff is the server/technical guy who will make sure our site stays running fast and secure.

Re: Well it's time...

Andy, never too early to get the kids out. We were tenting at that time of my life, and a play pen doubled as a crib. My grandkids have been out since being wee babes too. My youngest is 7 months now, and has been out with us a few times this past summer. They love it because there is way less restrictions then at home for the most part.

Janet, welcome. Being relatively close to Osoyoos, you should try to make it to the Escape Rally next June. Lots of great folk show up there.

Re: Well it's time...

Jeff, it is very good of you to have kept the site going all of this time. It is difficult to say whether Escape owners or Escape Industries has benefitted the most but I would guess that the majority of owners were heavily influenced by it. Countless Escape wannabes have used it to make pivotal decisions.

So you're the guy on the pedestal. I was wondering about that.

Good luck and don't disappear.

Re: Well it's time...

Hi: JeffZ... A great big THANKYOU goes out to you for putting up with us these many years. You are the unsung hero here!!!
Hello to the new crew. I'll try to keep my "Glass Clown" image in check...at least till you get settled in. Go easy on the changes as us auld-zimers need more time to adjust.
You don't need an Escape to understand escaping...but it helps!!! Alf

Re: Well it's time...

Welcome Andy, Janet, Dirk and Jeff,
I am sure this won't be any worse than dealing with a one-year-old. You probably have been reading for so long that you already know that!

Re: Well it's time...

First, thank you Jeff for getting this going and giving us a place to hang out and discuss our Escapes. Your work is much appreciated! Second, I am on several of Andy's RV sites and was a member when those sites were brought into his group. From a user perspective there was no difference for me after the changeover, so if anyone has any concerns don't worry about it. All of those sites continue to run as before. Looking forward to continued upgrades here and seeing this forum grow!

Steve

Hi: Jim Bennett... I've done some digging but am not at liberty to say other than several some big some small. Here's hoping things remain somewhat the same. We just might have to polish up our image tho!!! Alf

Re: Well it's time...

Thank you JeffZ.
A job well done.
I guess that, like so many other web sites, I just took for granted that this web site was always there (or here)! You created an easy to use site I check every day.
Good luck in all future seekings!

Jeff;
Thank you for the work you've put into this site and the community that has been built around it. I will miss your wit and your sarcasm. It feels like a kindred spirit is leaving. Again, many thanks and please stay in touch.
