$500.00 down the fun begins

My wife and I have started the process on a new trailer. We have not decided on a 19 or 21 yet. Are flights are booked to seattle for the end of january and we will drive up to the factory the next day to make the choice and talk about options. Choosing a 19 will get us a may completion date or september for a 21. The forum has given us many ideas to consider. Looking forward to building the best trailer on the market and getting help from some passionate people. Peter and Laura Burkardt, Monroe, MI

Welcome to the Escape Forum Peter and Laura! oooooh a new Escape trailer on the horizon for you. Exciting times ahead! My new 5.0T won't be completed until June and I've been working on my build sheet since Sept. 7. Get out the Tums . Truthfully, it's fun deciding the items you want in a trailer and there are so many good ideas put forth by others. It's like Christmas nearly every single day. Have a ton of fun plotting and planning.

You may want to see if there are any flights to Bellingham, Washington instead of Seattle as Bellingham is only about 1-1/2 hours from Chilliwack.

well, we are killing two birds with one stone. my daughter and son inlaw live in oylimpia. I have backpacked in the north cascades 3 times and love the area. Its a chance to visit and show my wife what a beautiful area of the world it is. I wish it was during the summer but am looking forward to showing her the area and visiting the area.

Welcome Peter and Laura, to our little Escape world. If you look here Home - Escape Owners Map
you can see where some other members are located, there appears to be one in Michigan and Ohio, both about 2.5 hours from you. If you contact Tammy @ ETI she can get you some contact numbers. That way you can see first hand an Escape and it may help your decision making, I know because I have shown my units to at least a half dozen new owners here on the forum.
Good luck.

Welcome to the community! Our 19' delivered in Oct. Three weekends and lot of fun time spent on mods. Trip south planned. FYI, you have reason to drive out (daughter). However. If thinking delivery, think about driving to Goshen, IN. Being the TT mecca, was half cost of delivery to Hastings. With a 2 hr. drive.

Verify with Escape, but I believe it was $1,800. After being quoted on this, I decided to spend the delivery charge on gas for a 10 week break in/start of retirement trip.

I think 1,800. Delivery to Hastings 2 hrs north was double that. Goshen/Elkhart travel trailer manufacturing mecca. Since Dave can always have a load of stick builts to take back west, you benefit with cheaper rate.
You can spend your first night in Amish country in Shipshewana, visit Yodors great department store and Yoders meat market across the street next to auction & flea mkt for wonderful meats & cheeses.
Don't tell Laura there are many shops downtown filled with Amish craftsmanship!

My guesstimate would be between $2500-$3000 to Indiana, with two on the truck. Of course diesel $$change daily. I'm sure Kim can give you a closer number.

Our charge in Oct. was 1,800 with two on truck. Fuel prices can change. Sometimes I think they can put three on truck, but you might have to wait longer unless planned ahead.
FYI, we have been doing couple mods and packing our 19 for FL.
Have insulation walls, windows, bottom. At 20 degrees F outside, our 6" sq. Broan heater quickly turns inside into T-shirt weather! :-)
