Smile Escape 5.0TA + 2 Women + 2 Dogs

Hello! We are new members of this forum from Central Florida and hopefully new owners of an Escape 5.0TA in the next year or so! Before diving in and making the big purchase we would like to gather as much information on here as we can.

Is anyone full-timing with dogs? We have a 60lb hound mix and a 20lb Boston Terrier. They love the great outdoors and I think the 5.0TA is a good size unit with enough space between the 4 of us.

Welcome to the forum Freebirds! Your two dogs will love the Escape, as you will!! The nice part about ETI is that you can costumize your trailer to your suiting. Ideal opportunity to set your trailer up with your dogs in mind.

Welcome Kate,
To our little world. Over on FGRV is a section on full timing in a fiberglass trailer. Just like other campers, but our Escapes will outlast those other brands.See here for more info Fulltiming in a Molded Fiberglass Trailer - Fiberglass RV

While it wasn't full time, I traveled a lot in a 17' with 2 retired racing greyhounds, 65 and 78 pounds. We did quite well - the dogs got the double bed and I got the little twin!
With big dogs, lack of floor space is an issue.
I traveled with a couple xpens that hooked together to form a small fenced area around the door - they could run in/out and I didn't have to constantly fiddle with leashed dogs around the door and on the steps - worked great!
