Thumbs up First time here!

My wife and I are making the 10 hour driver from Castor, Alberta to Chilliwack in May (waiting to hear back) to view the trailers and see if a 19 or 21 ft will be the best and possibly only trailer purchase of our lives.
Our neighbour and friend has had a 17 ft Escape since 2003 and I'm amazed.

We are very excited to stay at Cultas Lake as well, since I grow up in the area when
the military base was still around.

Welcome to the site. You certainly can't go wrong with either of those two trailers. We bought our 19 when they first came out 6 years ago, and have been extremely pleased.

If you could plan your trip around the Escape Trailer Rally in Osoyoos on May 29-31, you will get to see a lot of different units to compare, as each owner has outfitted them all just a wee bit different.

Welcome to the forum. If you had not already thought of it, there are several Escapes (both 19' and 21) located in the Edmonton, Wetaskwin, St. Albert area, who's owners may be willing to show for you, and which would be a much shorter drive for you than going all the way to Chilliwack. Let me know if you wish to see my 19'.

Be cautious of Edmonton area owners whose name is Dave, though.....just sayin'.

Seriously though, Dave makes a good point. If you contact Escape, they can hook you up with a bunch of owners close to you. A visit to their shop is always good to do though, and get to meet Tammy, Reace and some of the other staff. Then, if you come to the rally, you could just get a place in town to stay, and have some fun with all the wacky folks that seem to buy Escape trailers.

Welcome deange. It would be very well worth your time to visit ETI. We drove over 2000 miles one way to see the trailers and the plant last fall. Once we compared the 19 and the 21 which were parked side by side, we were able to make a choice that we knew we could live with. Coming back from Chilliwack this fall, there will be some extra weight behind the truck. Loren

Thanks everybody! Such warm welcomes!
And Dave, we might take you up on the offer.

We figured the trip will be worth it as we can take a look first hand at some of the options, get some golf in, and put our deposit down if we feel it will be the right investment.

I have $5 that says you leave a few dollars shorter.

My hopes are we leave a few dollars shorter too. Is it true the wait is almost two years now? I'm expecting this as part of our budgeting at this time to save up in time for production 2016 or even 2017

All completion dates at this time are still in 2015. I imagine you could pick a date further out, if you wish too.

Welcome! You are in the right place. The more I camp with my Escape the more I am affirmed that we made the absolutely 100% right decision.

Hi, Geoffrey,
Quite a few people have bought Escapes sight unseen. Since there are now more than 1000 units, most people visit with an owner in their general area. (Most fiberglass trailer makers do not have dealers so this is how it is done.) There are also some rallies (see that section). No need to go to Chilliwack until it is time to pick up! Unless you have another reason to go that far, you can easily see whatever models you are interested in by getting names in your area from Tammy at Escape Trailer Industries. An owner who shows you a trailer that you then order will be paid, so don't feel shy about asking. Hope you find the right one for you.

Welcome deange. If you are like me, I had my mind pretty well made up before I ever went to ETI. The trip though sealed the deal and the visit only served to demonstrate the exceptional service you receive from ETI. I wholeheartedly recommend the trip it will confirm what you already know. Welcome to the forum and my money is betting you will be a member of the Escape family in the near future.
