Howdy from California!

Hello all! Just joined this forum as we are interested in learning more about Escape trailers. My wife, Victoria, and I are specifically intrigued by the 5th wheel model and hope to see one in person! We plan on attending the fiberglass rally at Lake Casitas, California in October. We are located in Tehachapi.

Thanks for letting us join!
Greg

Hi Greg- just rolled through your burg yesterday; its all downhill from there in either direction!

If you get over to the coast before then we have a 21 you can tour and a friend has a 5.0TA.

Beautiful! Is that a 1/2 ton pickup? Is a 1/2 ton adequate for pulling the 5.0?

Thank you for the offer, Russell! We may just take you up on that offer as we have family in Atascadero and visit the Central Coast pretty much every month. And sorry we missed you coming through our neck of the woods!

Welcome Greg,
I'm a old railroad lover and coming through the Tehachapi Loop is always a treat. Beautiful area to live in and to visit.

Alf, nice looking combo!

Foxhunt, thanks for the clarification that a 1/2 ton will pull the 5.0 up mountains with no problems, especially since we live about two-thirds up one at 5,600 ft. elevation!

cpaharley2008, you would love it where we live! We are actually in a community called Bear Valley Springs about 10 miles west of Tehachapi. Our house is situated almost directly above the Loop. If you were to walk across the road to a neighbor's lot, you could actually see the Loop. We can hear the trains blow their whistles from our house when the wind is blowing right!

I have a 2016 5.0 TA in Porterville you can tour. It will be here until the 1st or 2nd of July.
In fact, I have a 2018 21 ft you could tour as well if you’d like to. Both are parked at my house. One in the driveway and one in the backyard.

Hi, Sandy, and thank you for your kind offer! We would be interested but may not be able to see it as we have commitments this weekend. Would the 5th wheel be available for viewing at a later time?

Thanks!

No, I’m sorry it won’t. It’s moving to Texas with its new owner July 2 nd or 3rd.

Thanks anyway, Sandy, but we wouldn't be able to get there by then. Thank you so much for your offer! Hopefully, we'll see you down the road one day!

We will be coming right through AG the afternoon of Monday, Aug. 27th. Do you think you and your friend be available then?

Perhaps we can take this offline? Is Private Messaging available to new members?

Sandy, I saw your sale ad for the 5.0. May I ask why you sold it and purchased a 21' instead? Thanks!
