Realizing that it's not our forever camper, we've backed off the "no Casita" mindset. I'm waiting for something to come up at a reasonable price within a 4-5 hour drive to convince me. At least until we get more desperate!

On the rare trip that we have to take the cats along (which will naturally be the longest trips), we'll just have to keep them caged up or outside so they don't get the idea that the inside is one giant scratching post!.

I am still vehemently anti-Scamp. I do not trust the plywood bottom. Sadly, with those being made in Minnesota, I think I'll see more of them than anything.

Don't know why. My 1988 16' Scamp Deluxe still has a perfect floor. And it's not plywood. It's resin soaked OSB. The only reason anyone should worry about a wood floor (and the only trailer I know of that doesn't have one is the Oliver) is relentless leaks that aren't taken care of. Right now ETI owners are passionately maintaining their rigs (at least on this forum). But I would imagine sometime in the future on one of the all-molded-towable groups... or Facebook, someone will have purchased a well used/abused Escape and will be asking about how to replace the floor...

Now honestly there may be other reasons you don't want a Scamp, but worrying about the floor shouldn't be one of them.

Like the Escape 5.0TA in the southeast US, a few years back, that was storm-flooded then appeared later as an insurance co. sale.
