Just sayin hello

Just joined a few days ago and wanted to say hello. Born and raised in central Florida, family includes my lovely bride and college age son, love fort widerness campground, and any questions about Disney World I can probably answer(AP since forever). I currently have an 2004 F250 4x4 crew cab(small v8) and a 2003 Lance 845 truck camper. I have had a starcratft popup(old, big, and heavy), a class C (old engine went bad), a coleman pop up (got tired of packing it up in the rain), then the lance. Eventually looking to sell the lance and buy a fifth wheel; the 5.0 TA looks like something i'd like to have. I'll probably have a few questions for you TA owners but for now I've enjoyed the forum, hope everyone is well and camping as much as they'd like.

ps - why don't companies make small fifth wheels any more? 28ft long and 12 foot tall doesn't qualify as small in my book!

Welcome Turtle; interesting to see some smaller (older) 5th wheels out there. As for now it probably is because larger ones are when the market is. My ex-biz partners used to always say "bigger is better". Didn't agree & we split thankfully.

Know your neck of the woods. went to high school in Cocoa Beach until about Apollo 16, then it became a ghost town and we left like a lot of others. My folks moved us to Winter Park. Came to CA in '72 for a vacation & never went back(-;

Hi: turtle...WELCOME... Tired of carrying your shell on your back? There is a 5.0TA on the way home to metro Dade City area. C&G in Florida should be there in a week or so, so you could see one in person.
Ours only makes it to Florida when the weather turns frigid here. Alf

Can't believe I joined and a 5.0 lands in my back yard. I'm guessing C&G is a member on the forum?

Yeppers. Was fortunate to meet Carl in Osoyoos at the rally.

I just may be contacting you around Spring, 2016 for some advice. On my first run around the perimeter of the U.S., want to stop to see Epcot, Universal and Harry Potter World!

Welcome and best of luck with your search!!!

any questions about Disney World I can probably answer

You should force yourself. Cocoa Beach is still wonderful, and alot less crowded than many of the Florida beaches. There are a couple of nice beach bars I've hung out in to watch Delta Rockets launch. Still love to visit there every chance I get.

ID:	11444Well I have been back a few times, but not in 20 years. The Atlantic is nice to jump into and I miss running around on the Banana River in my hydroplane. A friend's dad made this from a kit and we bought it when they transferred to Seattle.

The next time I do Disney, it wil be at Fort Wilderness. As for universal it's a must to stay on their property at one of the resorts that offer fast passes. The rides are insanely good!

Thanks for all the hellos, Ft W. is great, just hop on the Disney bus to go anywhere on the property. Epcot is great but not so much for little ones. Be glad to help on Disney but never been to any of the other theme parks. If you're going to Ft W. at peak times(summer, Thanksgiving thru New year) plan as far as possible early. We book Nov or Dec camping times in January!
I'll try to contact C&G about the 5.0
Again, Thanks
