Robert...so yourself and several other USA buyers have sent in the past a personal check to Escape via USPS 1st class mail with no signature delivery/tracking or any other USPS option to Canada?
Thanks

That is correct, first class mail almost always gets delivered.

I agree - it will get there, although it can easily take a week. In the rare case that it doesn't arrive, the cheque ("check" for those south of the border) can be cancelled. It could go to the wrong person and get fraudulently cashed, but tracking wouldn't stop that - only registration or courier delivery requiring a signature would help.

Short answer: Yes. How's that for a "leap of faith?"

We did the same thing and ETI received it within 5 days. Registered Mail adds 10-14 days to the process. I'm guessing the registered mail sits at each stop until someone is motivated to deal with the 'extra' effort.

XE.com cuts the draft and mails it to ETI for you at no charge. Plus, you've already agreed to the exchange rate prior to cutting the draft and mailing it so you don't have to worry about what happens in the week it takes to get there. Took about 3-5 days after accepting exchange rate for ETI to receive the draft from XE.

We sent our "big" payment check by registered mail from Calif. It took 12 days. The good news for us was that, by the time Tammy's bank got it, the exchange rate made a big jump. We just had to add things to our build sheet to compensate.
