Meet The Mis-Adventure

Hello....having finally made a purchase we feel comfortable making a first post even so we've been silent and invisible members for some time.

After much thought, research and conversation, the Handyman and I sold our 2003 Scamp 16 (side dinette) to the first person who came and looked at it and bought CPAHarley's Blackjack (a very gently used 2014 Escape 21) almost as soon as he put it up for sale. An unexpected serendipity allowing us to sidestep the Escape Lottery for a brand new rig.

So, here we are at Modoc Campground on Lake Strom Thurmond in mid-state SC on her maiden voyage as the newly renamed Mis-Adventure. This is a shake down cruise to orient us with all her bells and whistles in anticipation of our own Westward Madventure Part Deaux come mid-May sighting for the Escape Rally in Osoyoos, BC at the end of May.

While there may be further mods down the road, thus far we've only added shelves to the wardrobe and a riser on the step due to my vertically challenged self. In the wings is the addition of struts to hold the hatch opening in the upward position on the storage hatch under the bed. Beyond that we will see what pops up as we make her our own.

Thank you, Jim, for selling us your rig and working things out due to family and weather related issues. We love her already and look forward to many miles under her wheels with our 4Runner piloting her.

Josie and Craig

Mis Adventure

Well Mis Adcenture might be a lady but she likes to have exciting food cooked where she can smell it. Don't be afraid to cook hot stuff or exotic stuff around her, she's broken in. She likes a Yuengling on a hot afternoon and will have a toddy with you on a crisp fall evening. Looking forward to meeting you in Osoyoos.

Hi Craig and Josie,
Met you at Highlands Hammock in February. Glad to see you are planning to go to Osoyoos. We had such a good time last year that we are planning to return again this year. Glad to hear you like the Escape. May you have many great adventures in it!

Hi, Carl and Gail....yes, it has been a wonderful piece of serendipity to side-step the wait and segue straight into Jim's trailer. I think Craig hit the phone or e-mail within moments of his putting up the ad.

So, glad to know there will be a couple more familiar faces when we get there.

Hi, Rick and Faye - what a toot to find more Escapers right in our home town.

We'll have to compare notes when you get back.

Ha! Yes, indeed it is, The previous owner (being yourself) did a bang up job keeping her (him to you) in good shape.

BTW....Miss Skye Diva Gypsy Dog also appreciates the expanded space.
