New Escape owners-to-be

Hiya! We are Jeff and Katie from Central Iowa. We finally committed to our first Escape!! We have ordered our 17B Escape, with a pick up date Sept 2nd! We got to see some 19 & 21s at the Iowa get together at Mcgregor a couple weeks ago and had a great time talking to other Escape owners!! We currently have a 2013 Scamp 13' that we have loved, its our GREEN 13!! We've done a few modifications, as I love green and not red... however... needing a little more sleeping space, dining space and BATHROOM!! It was hard to move up from 13' to 17', I think it will feel like a palace!! We are still working, not full timing, so feel we will have PLENTY of room...Anyway, we are getting our new Escape, just finishing up our build sheet and so excited to join the Escape Realm!! we have truly loved and appreciated our Scamp, but ready for an upgrade! We have been reading up on these forums and appreciate the information and sense of community and support for our future home way from home!! GREEN 17!!

I think you will love your 17--it's been a year for me and I still give a satisfied sigh camping or even just seeing it in the side yard. The waiting will go quickly!

We are picking up in September. We were looking at campgrounds after pickup. I know it is recommended to camp nearby the first night incase of any issues, but and they recommended a few nearby, but were thinking going up to Kamloops area to get on our road trip through Canada back home to Iowa. We feel we will have a good handle on towing, setup, etc. We figure we could drive back 2 hours if any concerns. Has anyone had any issues after pickup and really recommend staying closer??
