As retirement approaches, the wife and I decided it would be fun to RV it around the country to visit friends and see a bunch of historic sites and National parks. After reviewing many of the fiberglass trailers and trolling the forums for reviews, it seemed like the Escape was better made and better equipped than most. Since delivery is so far out, we jumped in very quickly and ordered a 19', scheduled for October 2017. However, Tammy said it could very well be done several months sooner. Let's hope.

Escape referred us to two owners in Missouri, which we visited the past week. One a 17B, the other a 19'. While both were very nice and would serve us well, we thought the slightly larger 19 would be a bit more comfortable. If we bought the 17 and really enjoyed the travelling, we would probably want to move up, so we took the leap directly to the larger size.

I appreciate all the information and helpful folks on this forum. I look forward to sharing our experience and contributing what we learn along the way.

Cheers,

You sound a lot like us Bob. We initially ordered a 17B, but after spending a little time in one, decided that while the 17 would be fine now with us only taking 2-4 day trips, once we retired and started taking longer trips, the 19 would probably fit us better. So we changed our order to a 19 about a month before our build started.

And now that we have the 19, we love it and are glad we skipped the step of moving up eventually.

Congrats on the order, Bob.

I would not limit your planned travels to RV travel around your country. We have lotsa nice stuff up here too. Our plan is to do most of North America.

Thanks.
We absolutely look forward to visiting Canada as well. Our grandkids live in Seattle, so we will be heading up that way on many occasions. Looking forward to taking the Northern route.

Smart move (up) Bob. You two are going to love the 19, the traveling, relaxation, and, eventually, retirement! Enjoy "building" your trailer!!
