I've had a couple of these stove top toasters. Really good for making croutons. Wished that I hadn't thrown them out when recently I needed a "simmer plate" for my butane stove. Could have just removed the wires to make one.

There is no way on earth that the toast in the product photo was made on that "toaster".

The toast in that photo was my mental image of how it was going to turn out. Maybe I subconsciously thought that it would pop-up when done.
