Hi guys,

Seef and Yvonne from the Netherlands signing in.

We are interested in getting our hands on a fiberglass RV, (5th wheel). First found the Scamp and now we stumbled upon the Escape.

Still not shure which is the better fit for our needs, so we hope browsing and reading this forum will help us with our decision.

Just some info, 5th wheel RVīs are not a common thing in our neck of the woods, to be more precise, it will be a challenge to get such a thing on our roads (legally) but he, we love a challenge.

Cheers,

Severinus and Yvonne

Hi Severinus,

My wife and I are awaiting the finishing of our new 5.0 (single axle). I'm sure someone will point out to you ETI is selling their display model for $28,000 It is a good deal.

Welcome to the Escape Forum Severinus and Yvonne! I have no idea of the challenges you may face, but I do know ETI shipped a classic 5th wheel to England, so they already have experience in loading it for container travel.

Hi Al,

Thanks for your reply, we already found the add for the display model. I send an email asking for floorplans, pictures and dimensions.

Iīm having a hard time finding those things which are more or less handy when it comes to making a decision. :-)

Cheers!

Hi Donna D.

Thanks for your reply, that is good news, England is only a stone throw away and more important is in the EU, so if else fails importing it to England and after that to The Netherlands provides a nice secondary route....

Knowing thereīs already a unit shipped overseas makes live much easier.

Cheers!

Severinus, I believe the information from the classic 5.0 may have been pulled from the ETI website. BUT, I've kept it, find the brochure below. There are all kinds of specs in the brochure you may find helpful

Welcome

Welcome Seef. You and your family are welcomed here and we hope to provide you with answers to all your questions as you try and make your decision. I wish you well and can only say I have never been happier with a trailer than with my Escape. Good luck. Ron

Hi: Seef... Not only did Escape ship one 5.0 to England... but they shipped two!!! There is a write up in an English magazine from a few years ago about the experience of travel in England with a 5.0 fiberglass trailer and Mitsubishi pickup.
Sorry I have no link to it, and one of the two 5.0's still sat in storage there.Alf

Hi,

Do you mean that this unit is still in storage there? Would anyone know about its whereabouts?

Cheers!

Welcome Seef. Good luck with finding a 5th wheel. I feel sure that, if ETI could ship a trailer to the UK, then it could ship one directly to Rotterdam.
