Talking OK. That's it - Gotta Have One.

My wife, Robin, and I had a great visit with Kevin Stock (kstock11) in Asheville, NC today. He gracioiusly showed us through his Escape 19 and patiently answered all our questions.

All we can say is "Wow!". I've been reading the forum for some time. I've posted a few times. After looking closely at Kevin's rig, we really want one. We have decided that a 5.0TA would meet our needs/desires quite well. The floor plan works for us and we are already set up to tow a 5th wheel. Now, the big question: Do we order new or wait for the perfect used unit to appear? Hmmm.

We currently live full time in our 2013 Montana 5th wheel. Been full time for over nine years. We want an additional smaller rig for serendipidous exploring. The 40 foot Montana is just too cumbersome for a quick trip or a spontaneous detour from our winter to summer and back migrations.

Again, thanks to Kevin. I am sure I will be asking some questions as we progress through our due diligence and make our decision.

First question - Kevin said there is a rally in April in Townsend, TN. Can anyone give me the dates or perhaps direct me to a website with rally info? We will be volunteering at a Corps of Engineers park in Alabama at that time, but we may try to get to Townsend for the rally.

Kevin, See the FiberglassRV.com forum Rally link below:
Rallies, Get-togethers, Molded Meets (Upcoming) - Fiberglass RV
They usually do a good job of listing the major rallies.
Which CoE park will you be at in Alabama? We'll be attending the Green Eggs & Ham rally at Gunter Hill Park near Montgomery in March. Perhaps we'll run into you there. Dale

Welcome aboard Kevin. A 5.0TA would be a great choice.

Howdy Dale - We will be at Foscue Creek near Demopolis. It's about 100 miles to the West of Gunter Hill. We may try to drop over if we can.
We start at Foscue Creek mid-Jan and and anticipate being there until mid-April when we head back north to Yellowstone for the summer.

We will be at Green Eggs and Ham also, with our 5.0TA. We won't be in the rally loop, however, decided too late to reserve a site on that side so we will be in the "other" loop.

Hey, that's great, Carl. Maybe we won't have to wait until April to see a 5.0TA.

Carl, If you don't mind me asking, what days are you planning to arrive and leave GE&H? FWIW, we should have our new 21' just in time for GE&H and are seriously considering upgrading our primary TV to an F-150 similar to yours. Dale
