Oven or not?

We are building our new 2019 Escape 21 to be ready March 2019. I’m having a very hard time trying to decide on an oven or not! Please weigh in on pros and cons! I need advice! I want a way to fix the occasional dessert or casserole!

If you use the Google Search box you will find dozens of posts on the topic. Read them all and you will still have to decide for yourself.

Seems like Yes Oven versus No Oven has been discussed on the forum plenty of times. Suggest you do a search on past threads. Here is one:

http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f9...cons-5777.html

And another:

http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f7/the-oven-9424.html

As with many pro/con things I read on the forum. Those that have them like them, those that don't, have not missed them.

Personally, we have one and like it . We use the inside for griddle / pan storage. Love the smell of cinnamon rolls on a chilly fall morning. Warms up the camper nice as a side benefit.

I just finished my build sheet for a 19'. I did not want the oven, but wanted to be able to bake sometimes. I am having Escape custom build an opening under the stove for a micro/convection oven. Best of both worlds. Ask Escape for details on this if you are interested, as this is not a normal option offered.

We have had an oven in previous RV’s but not the one we own now.
We dearly miss having one.

On the 21 we are in the process of ordering, the oven is a must. Propane. No electricity required.

we've never used the microwave in our 21, but use the propane oven every time we go out. baking a previously-frozen casserole, warming bread rolls or making cheese melts, etc etc.

we're hardly ever at a campground with hookups.
