They are starting to put them on some truck campers now . it would be nice to see a cassette in an Escape trailer and a flat door with a built in screen door Like Casita and Snoozy .
The reason I like the Escape trailers is there use of space. A lot more usable storage around the trailer upper cabinets and better for boondocking with propane heat ,cooking ,hot water etc. I was pleasantly suprized to learn how well the fiberglass trailers hold their resale .We missed a couple of escape trailers but will probably wait for 4/1/16 and order a 5.1TA unless one comes up sooner
In my opinion a flat door would negatively impact the visual appeal of the Escape design .
It would be easier to manufacture and instal. That is likely why others do it.
I hope Escape does not change their moulded door design in the future.

And I'm very happy with the disappearing screen door on our Escape - except for sweeping the floor near its track.

And the Escape does have a built in screen door. Just ask all of the folks whose dogs went through it while it was closed. Loren

We have the old style bi-fold door, and it sweeps the floor for you when you open or close it.

Loren we mounted a wooden baby gate that I cut to fold up , attached on sink cabinet by door that keeps the babies off screen . My counter I cut down and it always stays up so it is not in the way . Pat

Mary it is a pain . One of those micro fiber towels that everything sticks to helps . Also can use them to wipe down shower too . Pat
