Really liked the 5.0TA!

Howdy, my name is Bob and my wife is Julie. Been a member here for a while, just been laying low and researching the 5.0TA. We are Casita owners and looking for more space. We sent Donna a PM yesterday asking if she would be available to show her 5.0TA. She was, so we drove down from Tacoma to have a look at her 5.0TA. We really liked it, what an amazing fiver! The drive back to home was spent talking about how we can make this happen. Hopefully by the end of next week, we will be able make a deposit and secure a spot in line. Thank you Donna for taking time on such a beautiful fall day to give us a tour, it was very much appreciated! So, anyone have a friend looking for a very well loved, late model Casita? I know of one that may be looking for a good home in the spring! Bob

Yo BOB!

Great meeting you and Julie. Isn't an ETI 5.0TA build stellar?

Everything I had ever hoped for in an all molded towable.

Best of luck in your decison!

A picture is worth a thousand words but seeing one in person is worth a $500.00 deposit. lol
This past Friday I had the opportunity to meet Don and Cheryl Meints (super nice people) at Lake Seminole SP in Georgia and toured their 19ft Escape and I just fell in love with it so it looks like this is the route I'm going to go.

We had a 17B and loved it, and really hated to give it up; but we have no regrets we absolutely love our 5TA as well.....it feels huge - even without pullouts and recliners....love the separate bed area.....I'm sure you will be pleased, plus it tows pretty much the same as our 17 & overall it's a foot shorter when hooked up. We also gained an extra 6' +/- of livable space.

You will have NO problem selling a Casita - most seem to sell in under a week. It took me over a year to find my 2006 17LD used 1200 miles away, and 3 days to sell it to the first buyer at full firm price.

Yeah, that's the great thing about molded fiberglass trailers. They sell almost as soon as you place an ad.

Resale value is great for fg eggs.

Of course, pricing it appropriately is also important. You see the odd egg for sale for extended periods when they are over priced and the owners fail to recognize that.

Welcome Bob, We also went from a 17' Casita to an Escape, 21 in our case. It'll be nice having another Escapee in Washington. AND as posted, you'll have no trouble selling your Casita. The hard part will be waiting for your Escape.

Yes they do, and they hold their value. I have been researching asking prices for 2011 Casita's and have been pleasantly surprised as to what the are getting. We looked at moving away from FGRV's, but we are both happy to be staying. If we purchase the 5.0TA, we plan on having it a long time. Unless Reace and Tammy come out with something even cooler, then all bets are off!

It's official, we put down the deposit today on 5.0TA with an August 5th completion date. My wife and I have never had any children, this 9 month wait may be similar!! Bob

Congratulations! I'm sure you're going to love it, we really love ours. We will be spending four months in it this winter- that will be the true test, but I'm pretty sure we'll still feel the same way.

t-twnbob, I envy you! I'm gonna call next week to put my money down on a 5.0TA; maybe we'll hatch about the same time.

Good for you, ours builds will be very close! We had a chance to look at our second 5.0TA as jhardie was rolling through town on his way south. The 5.0TA is a stunning unit and it just confirmed even more that we are making the right decision. Thank you again Jack for taking the time to meet us. This sure is a terrific group of people! Bob
