Trailer Valet Rep - Wanting to say "Hi" and make sure I'm within the rules

Has anyone tried this trailer dolly? http://trailervalet.com/shop/

I pull my trailer thru a 180 degree pivot turn to get it out of the parking spot and this looks pretty cool.

Trailer Valet Rep - Wanting to say "Hi" and make sure I'm within the rules

Hello,

My name is Tyler and I am a representative of Trailer Valet. I wanted to get the "OK" to be able to join your wonderful forum. I've noticed some members with questions about our hand cranked trailer moving device and I would like to be able to answer them. I am not here for the purpose of soliciting our product, but would like to extend my knowledge and my team's knowledge on our device so that all users can easily and safely valet their trailers.

If and admin or mod could please let me know if I am going about this correctly or what needs to be done to do so, I would be more than glad to comply in every way.

Thank you!
Tyler

Hi Tyler, I'm glad you're here. Nothing beats getting the absolute scoop from the folks who know the product best.

"Scoop" Yum, that means ice cream to me. Welcome Tyler, and thanks for bringing treats. Helps me stick to my beer and ice cream diet.

Tyler,

I appreciate your honest and respectful approach. The moderators need to chime in, but fwiw I'm ok with commercial representatives posting here as long as they don't push their wares too hard. As Donna says, there's nothing like answers straight from the manufacturer when you've got questions.

I am interested in the trailer valet. I was one of the ones posting questions originally on an earlier thread. But I couldn't find anybody with experience with the valet, and didn't want to order one on spec. I ended up buying a no-name version of the valet that was available locally, but returned it immediately because it just didn't cut it (it had neither the capability nor the quality I require).

So, to the root of the issue, then. Can the valet handle a 3500lb trailer, 450lb tongue weight, on a gravel pad with a few degrees of slope?

In other fora I've frequented, it's been great to have representatives from companies hanging around answering questions and clearing misconceptions. However, that only works when their affiliation is clearly announced. Usually it's placed in the member's description (to the left of the posting) or in the signature line. Also they must have the good sense to not push their products nor to bash the competition (and in my experience most do).

Just throwing out my experiences and opinion. Of course the decision rests with the mods.

Good morning Tyler,
This forum as well as our sister forum Fiberglass RV are both owned by the same interests. The other fiberglass forum is for the owners of various molded fiberglass trailers whereas this one is one particular fg manufacturer, Escape Trailers. As such we have decided not to have commercial members here but they are welcome over on the other forum. Most members here are also members on FGRV. You may certainly post and please do give your advice here on questions re: your products. Once you register over on FGRV you may also post items for sale there in addition. So welcome to our world.

Glad you are here. I posted this earlier with no reply. http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f8...alet-1906.html

Tell ya what, give me a deal and I'll give you a fair review on flat road base (gravel and sand), flat concrete, and sloped asphalt. I have a single axle 17 footer and need to pull through a 180 degree pivot turn to get out of my parking space. Two hernias later and I am not interested in pulling it by hand much longer...
I am a flight test engineer and can give you a fair test. I'll post the review here and FiberglassRV.com If it is negative I'll pass it through you first for comments to make sure it was an honest test.
I'll even pick it up in LA and give you a folks time for a face to face review of your shop and capabilities. (if a Saturday or Sunday afternoon is OK with you)
I think you make a fine product, I think it just needs a fair review. You can send me a private message if you wish.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Concerning the use of our product on various conditions, please PM so that I may answer you in private. That also goes anyone wanting to test our product. The reason I'd rather handle it as a PM is that I don't want to overstep and make it seem like I'm advertising. I am, however, interested in some information on becoming a sponsor/vendor.

Well wishes!
Tyler

Our Valet is listed at a capacity of 5000 lbs and 500 lb tongue jack. Depending on the type of gravel, it should work just fine, but again conditions may vary. We do stand behind our product. If it doesn't work with 100% satisfaction, we'll be sure to fix that!
